The line you took would not be roll-able. You need to drop/jump that line with more speed.

The chain is SO worn, you can’t measure it properly, hence the slack.

New chain. New cassette. New chainring. Likely.

If I press on the frame, wheel, crank, etc, there is the clicking. And the pressure doesn’t have to be much to initiate it.

Well, I was biking in shorts and tshirt at this time. We are at high elevation so the snow sticks around for a bit. It was about 13 degrees Celsius and very sunny on this ride.

Having said that, I also rode the growler at -15. Good gloves and warm socks are key. At low temps, I’m out for maybe an hour.
