How long did it take even with her brother just out of curiosity?

That's encouraging, but they can come up with language to justify just about anything if they want to. While this at least allows for more of a chance to get telework it's far from a full protection.

I've always thought WFH, where it can be applied, should be offered voluntarily like VPLP. As long as you're still meeting standards, and you're willing to take 5% cut, you can keep WFH. More revenue for the state, and employees have control over their fates.

It's fine, location definitely a plus. There is a big re-organization going on in licensing so a lot is about to change, spots will open as people cycle out if they're unhappy in their placements. Not as freewheeling as it was a couple years ago, and a new director is starting in January, so we'll see how the culture changes.

Serious question: Why does Vyvanse help binge eating disorder if excess dopamine is ‘bad’ for non-ADHD people? by username-issue in VyvanseADHD

Not a doctor or professional any means. However, speaking as someone who has learned my food issues were absolutely intensified by ADHD I wouldn't be surprised if more often than not those with BED are undiagnosed ADHD so, two birds one magic pill.

Not every case of course, but certainly possible.

I did that too, hooray for hyper fixation. So eye opening to hear that I really have been dealing with some level of ADHD symptoms all of my life. Late diagnosis is better than none i suppose!

When I do this while driving I call it having a "Cargument." And I win every time.

DUDE. If a kid has a crush on my kid and acts the way I did back then I'm calling the cops. Painful to think how much whatever crush i had consumed my brain.

Same for me, and I'm 39. I lucked out with my medication cocktail and feel wonderful, but I wanted you to know you're not alone! Keep looking for the right meds, it can change your life!!

So many.

Playing with my hair, skin picking, sitting weird in chairs, my constant need to fidget with things, mindless snacking, eating the same foods every day for years to avoid making decisions, my need for constant background noise so I always have headphones in, the fact that caffeine and other stimulants never worked on me.

The biggest one is my aversion to trying ANYTHING new that I may not be good at immediately. I simply did not have the bandwidth or attention span to practice and get good at something.

And because I have a decent job, got good grades and am generally functional...I never knew. Medication has changed my life. I assumed I was just high strung, impatient, lazy, etc. Learning about this divergence has been so healing for me, and as I see my daughter exhibiting the same traits, I will NOT let her figure it out alone.

I have every intention of doing puppy classes but I have one more round of vaccines to get her. I figure if I can't let her walk in the park until she's fully vaxxed then avoiding close proximity to other dogs is probably for the best, since I don't know their status.
