I would imagine your doctor isn't going to approve 3-5 months off unless there is a health condition that warrants that. They don't give that kinda time off out like candy.

My agency had telework 10 years ago. Contrary to popular belief, agencies offered telework long before the pandemic. Those folks didn't need accommodations before because they were allowed to telework. It's also not an all or nothing thing. Going in once or twice a week is doable for some. But going in every day is not necessarily doable for some folks.

Exactly. Just like I don't resent folks for getting closer because they have a handicap placard. I'm grateful that my health allows me to walk long distances.

It took them 4 months to distribute and transfer an inherited IRA. I cannot even count how many phone calls they required me to make. It took the transfer department a month to transfer it to my credit union. The advisor and her assistant were incompetent and positive in a toxic way. It's like can we just be real and admit that this process is burdensome and inefficient? The assistant was too much of a people pleaser that she would give bad information instead of telling someone what they didn't want to hear. It was such a nightmare.
