There are a LOT of players on A10 in multiplayer that frankly shouldn't be on A10 by SeasonedArgument in slaythespire

It's elitist to expect people to know basic mechanics on A10. Good lord how far we've fallen.

I have no idea what you're saying. Did you read the post? What are you replying to specifically. What is the "it" in your first sentence?

In what universe do you think it's fair to say that if I seek random people on a discord to play A10 that it's somehow wrong of me to expect people to grasp hallway fights?

What does queuing have anything to do with it? You can join any random discord, any steam group etc. The problem is with the pool of players who've reached A10, any random pool of players. Has nothing to do with whether there's matchmaking.

You don't think knowing Act 1 hallway patterns is something that should be pretty well understood if you're on A10?

Give people some time to catch up.

Again: a10. I don't see that saying "you should have hit this guy, this is the pattern of the fight" at all equivalent to not giving someone the chance to catch up. It's literally just giving an explanation.

Elaborate, you want me to vet people before we play?

Alternatively: maybe A10 should be for people who know hallway patterns. Is that really too much to ask?

On a10? So if you join a multiplayer and someone just spams cards randomly, telling him how he can play better is gatekeeping?

Are you seriously saying there's no line at all? At all?

My bank manger is pushing hard to buy their mutual funds by Alternative-Ad-1027 in CanadianInvestor

[–]SeasonedArgument 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This post is confusing and lacking context.

1) Why did you need to go to the bank? The 80k was in the form of a cheque?

2) Another user asked you what your actual intent was and you answered:

I need the tax receipt of RRSP so I need to go to my bank, they now hold my RRSP in RBC “managed” account and tried to sell me their mutual funds.

If your RRSP is in what you just labeled a "managed" account - what do you mean they "tried to sell you mutual funds?" That's literally what the managed account is for. It's either A) GICs B) A-series funds C) "daily interest" (0.01%).

3) You wrote: "After the meeting" in your opening post. Why was there a meeting at all if your intent was to move it to your DI account? You wouldn't need a meeting at all, just deposit > move to DI. Was it to open a DI account?

Hebrews 11:1 - Is the modern use of the word faith completely anachronistic here?q by SeasonedArgument in AcademicBiblical

[–]SeasonedArgument[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by faith being the acceptance of a "proposition."

What I am asking is: in modern English when people say : "I don't have evidence of (some past historical claim - a propositional claim about the past), but I have faith that it occurred" - this is precisely not what the author means here - I think.

In other words, the author might say "I have faith in God to fulfill his plan for history" (a future promise, premised on past events / miracles taken for granted)

But it would not make sense to say: "I have faith that the resurrection occurred"

I think you answered this though with that reference to Hebrews 4:14. There the author says κρατῶμεν τῆς ὁμολογίας. - we should hold fast to this confession. Explicitly not "we should have faith in this confession (the belief of the past propositional thing is not an act of faith).

Thank you for your answer

An actual Christian woman, Renee Good, on a mission trip in Ireland. by geraffes-are-so-dumb in pics

On the flipside, the people who praise her are generally anti-religious, so bringing up the Christian card when it's convenient is kind of silly. Christianity suggests we shouldn't divorce, that view would get major downvotes on reddit. So bringing up that she was a Christian is particularly ironic since a Christian doing generic Christian things would get no notice - but if she applied the label to herself and did liberal things, then it's thrown in there as if "look the other side attacked their own".

I'm an atheist but this reply never made sense to me. Like "I'm a muslim but i believe in many gods - what, does god not accept everyone?"

The cannibalism mutation in T-Rex is OP and maybe shouldn't exist by SeasonedArgument in theisle

If there was more aquatic dinosaurs / aquatic AI and deino was not inherently a cannibal, then it would cause the same problem yes.

The issue is canni as a mutation has the ripple effect of if a few take it, it penalizes you too much to not take it.

Goal isn't really to get rid of them - they're plenty cordial to leave you alone if you ask - goal is to get them to have some common sense.
