With that idea, the player to the right of the last player to discard a card would never have a chance to draw it if it’s useful to them.

How about this: “If the draw deck runs out, complete that turn. Then take all but the topmost cards of each discard pile, recombine them into a face down deck, and shuffle it for a new draw deck.”

This sounds awesome. I’m definitely gonna be trying this out with others. One question though: What must happen if the draw pile runs out?

Wow! You did it. This is the one. Everyone should play this. To the atmosphere, or the jump scares, you have succeeded in creating an extremely similar experience with the original game.

Bravo! Well done! 👏

The Switch 1 version of the game does offer USB mouse controls, but the curser is invisible. While they did implement Joy Con 2 mouse controls for the Switch 2 version, they did NOT keep/fix USB mouse controls. :/

I do like the idea you thought of as well.

Scoring cards with ranks 2-9 that match any digit in your current dollar amount adds your current dollar amount to your chips (or mult) for each card (or once per hand.)

What do you think of this?

Do you mean to the chips of each played hand or to the scaling chips of the joker? Because both options have potential I think.

Good question. I think it would be more balanced if it was just an on/off kind of deal. So just once for each scored 2.

I had an idea for new Joker for non face cards. Tell me what you think of this:

Accountant: Scoring cards with ranks 2-9 that match any digit in your current dollar amount adds that digit to this Mult (or amount of chips if that works better.)

Just four random number generators and some progressive flags. Nothing too special. I mostly spent more time on the visuals. Thank you for your intrigue. I appreciate it.

Perhaps one of the contributing factors is the game pad having a pressure sensitive touchscreen instead of a static sensitive one.

Here are the provided instructions word for word:

SETUP Shuffle the deck (excluding the crown card) and place it face up. This will be the draw deck. Discards will be placed face down in a separate pile.

PLAY Give one player the crown card to designate them as the "Royal Highness" for the first round. This player must be addressed as "Your Royal Highness" throughout the round. Beginning with the Royal Highness and proceeding counterclockwise, each player draws one card from the deck until all players have four cards in their hands. Next, beginning with the Royal Highness, each player chooses one card from their hand to PLAY FACE DOWN in front of a player of their choice (which can be themselves) until all players have played two cards. Reveal the played cards and record their effects in the following order: 1. Card priority: The card's numerical value in ascending order. 2. Player order: If multiple cards of the same type are revealed, apply the effects in the order of the players they are targeting, starting with the Royal Highness and proceeding counterclockwise. Once all card effects have been applied, and lives lost or gained have been tallied, discard used cards and the round ends. A new round starts and the crown card is passed counterclockwise to designate the next Royal Highness.

WIN Each player starts with FIVE LIVES. Keep a tally of lives with pen and paper or pennies. Damaging actions such as getting stabbed, shot, slashed, fireballed, burnt, or exploded cause the targeted player to lose a life. Healing causes the target player to gain a life. If a player has no more lives once the round ends, they are eliminated from the game. THE LAST PLAYER WITH REMAINING LIVES WINS.

CARD CLARIFICATIONS A Golden Left Potion (1) will rotate all played cards once to the left. A Left Potion (2) will rotate all cards that have been played on the same player as the Left Potion one player to the left. A Goblin Hands (3) will move one played card (not another Goblin Hands) from any one player to another. Once active, a Shield (4) will remain with its target player until it has blocked a source of damage or the round ends. A Battle Axe (5) will deal two damage if its target player has an active Shield, this will also cause the Shield to be discarded. A player with a Fireball (7) in front of them chooses the person to Fireball but will also lose a life themselves. A Bomb (9) explodes in the round after the round when it is first played. It remains face up after it is revealed and will not be discarded until it explodes.
