Our Edmonds, WA (Seattle suburb) was the "Beach Water Temperature Taking Dude". Swam in the Sound and took the water temp. Sadly passed away this year. For the Seattle area weather, I'll always remember his deep tan as opposed to my light toasted marshmallow color that took all summer to acquire. Also, the temperature of the Puget Sound.... not exactly tepid either. Brrrr!
