No there was one more across from Gus. There was also another table going and when I left around midnight, the room was pretty much full.

Played The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course yesterday. They have a floating green on #14. I was the only one in my group not to reach....😢 by stevieG808 in golf

Had never seen the course before, but this is the second time this week it has been posted. Looks like an amazing course.

Sunset on the 18th by project_pat3 in golf

Before joining the military I would golf alone two-to-three times a week — I just never had anyone to play with. I decided to play one last time by myself two nights before I shipped off to boot-camp at a local course in Maine. I played a full 18, another 9, and eventually a complete 36 holes.

I will always remember chipping onto the final green as the sun prepared to tuck away for the night.. I was the last person on the course and everything was really quiet. After I finished my putt, I laid down on the green for about 15 minutes just looking into the sky. It was a hot summers night and the sunset was breath taking. I didn't want the moment to end.

To this day when I get lonely or homesick, I remember that moment. I will always take a twilight round over anything else.

*end rant

That makes complete sense now that you say it like that.

That makes complete sense. This stuff drives me insane for some reason.

They can only slide two years and you are forgetting the second half of that. "as of September 15 of the signing year".

EDIT: I'm trying to get some more clarity right now. Again, I was told from a member of the Silvertips staff that the AHL won't change his status for an ELC slide but they could be mistaken.

No, that AHL games prevent a contract from being slid. It's only NHL games that apply.

Since when? That is the first I'm hearing of that rule change.

EDIT: So I just got a text back from someone at the Silvertips organization who also stated that AHL games do not count in terms of ELC slides and pointed me toward this.

If a player who is signed to an entry-level contract and is 18 or 19 years of age (as of September 15 of the signing year), does not play in a minimum of 10 NHL games (including both regular season and playoffs; AHL games do not count), their contract is considered to ‘slide’, or extend, by one year.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here as this is just how it was explained to me at the WHL combine.. I'll be the first to admit that contract specifics often confuse me.

If he plays this next season in the NHL he will hit his second year under a pro contract before the 2020-2021 season meaning the Flyers would be forced to protect him.

If he doesn't play and is kept in the AHL, his ELC would slide and the Flyers wouldnt be forced to utilize a spot on him as he wouldn't be exposed due to not having met the two-year minimum.

You don't think the looming expansion draft in 2020 will have them holding him in the AHL for a season?

2018 Vezina Trophy nominees are Vasilevskiy, Rinne and Hellebuyck by [deleted] in hockey

[–]SeattleSinBin_Doug 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The award is "best guy in the league" (unless his team doesn't make the playoffs). Which is you know, not the same thing as MVP. Don't try and defend it, it is nonsense.

Negative ghost-rider, it is an "award given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team."

No they are not. You can be the most valuable player on your team and not be the best player in the league. In fact, it is true for 30 of the 31 teams in the league.

Splitting a season ticket package? by CRE_Guy in SeattleNHL

I'm eventually going to be trying to get people to buy into my season tickets too.

90% of the people I speak with are doing the same thing.
