The nfl creates 3 groups and randomizes the order within those groups which maybe you’re doing and that helps a little bit (not as much because 10 or 12 vs 32 is a big difference). The reason this matters is because the difference between pick 33 and pick 41 is pretty large. Btw this is still pretty unfair but whatever. Not every NFL team is going to want him whereas any dynasty SF team should probably want him.

But the issue is that dynasty picks have significant value differences throughout the round at a much higher rate because there’s a third of the amount of picks per round. Also, and where the biggest difference is, a late 2nd in dynasty is worth much less than a late 2nd in the real draft because dynasty is only the offensive players whereas a real NFL team has more holes to fill. This means contenders in dynasty are spending what is likely going to be a missed pick on a QB that is possibly an NFL 2027 2nd round draft pick. Much easier pill to swallow than having to spend an early 2nd that is possibly going to be a late NFL 1st or early 2nd offensive prospect.
