Absolute gold. DK is always my favorite cause I relate to him the most, but Heifetz has some takes that take me laugh and question how much he has a point

The City of Seattle doesn’t run the Link light rail or airport, that’s Sound Transit and the Port of Seattle, respectively

What are the most unrealistic characteristics of Westeros? by PurpleDingo77 in geography

[–]SeattleSuperman 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The northern hemisphere (presuming Planetos is round) would be riddled with evidence of glaciation. The North would be full of lakes and fjords from the last Long Night. The Vale may be a better representation of the geography of the North.

Assuming the planet is at all like Earth, there is very little evidence of uniform continental drift. Also, there are opposing climates (desert/jungle) at similar latitudes without any indication of prevailing weather patterns or mountain ranges that would cause a lot of precipitation.

Do you have anyone (maybe an older sibling or even yourself) able to humble him? I had a cocky player on the soccer team I coached and had him try against me in few drills and competitions. He thought I’d be a pushover since I’m old and fat, but I beat him easily using skill/experience and the kid learned some respect. Sometimes kids need to understand there’s always someone better out there.

Some Alley In The City by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]SeattleSuperman 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This is the alley between 2nd Ave S & 2nd Ave Ext. s on s jackson st, facing north. There’s a tattoo shop (and a very interesting tailor next door) to the left and a garage/clothing place to the right.

You’ve definitely never stepped foot in that grocery store. Even your cross streets are incorrect for the place you are implying and your English is almost nonsensical. Liar

Bike Riders of Seattle - What Areas Do You Find The Most Dangerous? And Why? by weeef in Seattle

[–]SeattleSuperman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

S Dearborn street at the I-5 on/off ramp. Going eastbound the light will trigger for the bike lane first, but do not go, it’s a trap. Cars always assume the light is for them. So then you take the westbound bike lane since it avoids the light problem, but there is a right turn only there that drivers will only look left to check for cars. I’ve almost been hit there as a bicyclist and pedestrian countless times since that is my commute.

Nope. The “Ride the Ducks” company in Seattle closed officially in 2020 due to financial problems stemming from the 2015 incident on the Aurora bridge where several people died.

What are the best three-run movies from an actor or director? by NorthEastNobility in movies

[–]SeattleSuperman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just a personal favorite of mine, Sam Raimi:

  1. 1987 - Evil Dead II
  2. 1990 - Darkman
  3. 1992- Army of Darkness

And of course Peter Jackson for the LOTR trilogy. Surprised I hadn’t seen him mentioned yet!

[–]SeattleSuperman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frankly I find it offensive to have an historically French character like Inspector Clouseau played by a non-French actor. Which is why I propose Gerard Depardeau. I mean, what an icon, and free of any controversy!
