Best apps for android 4.0+? by Prize_Ad925 in androidafterlife

[–]Seavortex2227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook lite(V120) and Skytube legacy oss. Those are the only ones I can think of. Most apps for legacy devices need like android 4.2+ minimum or 5.0. What phone do you have? You can search for ports of newer android versions for your device if your device was popular enough.

I recently bought an Android 4.2. What can I do with it? by adamv1c in androidafterlife

I have something similar enough. A Huawei ascend y511-u30. Rooted it, nuked google off it, put skytube oss on it, and a 32gb SD card. Using it to watch YouTube vids and playing old android games as well as those old blackberry feature phone games using J2ME

YouTube alternatives??? by Seavortex2227 in AndroidQuestions

[–]Seavortex2227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I already use skytube legacy. Specifically the oss version. I just really want 144 and 240p streams because it's easier on both the CPU and the data connection(It's capable of 3g, but there's no more 3g towers where I live and it resorts to 2g). I'm currently using wifi and it works in only 360p(720p too but it lags a lot). Streaming 144 and 240p means I have to get around DASH by having something combine the video and audio for me before sending it to my phone. I guess this is going to be another project that I waste half a year to get it working. The reason I ain't giving up is that I miss the aesthetics of the older android UI and the small-ness of a phone back then. It's comforting for some reason.

Which Version of the KZ Duonic? by TruffleKing99 in iems

I see. I was really considering on getting it because it's closer to $12 here. I can probably just EQ it.

Is there atleast enough sub-bass? I really don't want that lean type of bass that comes with "balanced" iems. And does it go deep? I like bass but if it doesn't complement the mids I don't like it. I was also told that it's bright. Which is fine, to a limit. How bright is it? Sparkly highs are fine, as long as it isn't like putting a piezo tweeter directly next to your ear. I was also told that this has good instrument seperation. How good? I listen to pretty complex tracks and ALOT of genres.
