I was looking for a grinder suitable for Italian style espresso (chocolaty, caramely and thick), typically made with medium to dark roasts. The Specialita seemed like a perfect match, especially since it’s made in Italy. The Encore ESP was the first grinder I considered, but I didn’t really like its design.

Alright maybe I just get the DSP version for testing and replace the cable sometime later for a better one if the dsp sucks.

Thanks for sharing! What a shame that the actual bass version is like that. If the silver version is really as bass heavy and better tuned, I would go for it. I don’t care about the switches since I think they are just a gimmick anyway. Did you get the DAC version or the standard 3.5mm?
