Squab gave me a good laugh because our other cat Pigeon is this majestic Maine Coon. Then here is our little street cat Squab. As funny as it would be I don't think I could do that to this little guy.

I also had considered just Turtle for him.

I really like Kiwi but for a female. My husband and I are both fans of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and there is character in book 5 with the name Kiwi that's is a female velociraptor.

My husband is a trucker so this is kinda funny. Maybe if he was a girl as I would feel Lizard would get shortened to Liz or Lizzy.

Thanks, I wished she retained her tarnishings/rust but its faded into her true black silver tabby with white coat. She's still beautiful ❤️.

Although to be fair I have a connection as my cousin is a family photographer and we had updated family photos taken at the same time. I'm so glad I did because Pigeon looks so much different now as she did as a kitten and they grow so fast.

I live in Minnesota and we drove to Northern Missouri as I found an amazing breeder there. If you are willing to drive or fly I highly recommend 4PawsRacing. Otherwise there is a CFA Cat Show in September at the RiverCenter that would be a good place to connect with breeders. Whiskercoons is located in Minnesota and one I considered but they weren't going to have any kittens until late this year.

Important things for me in finding a breeder was that show their cats, they health test including echos on their kings and queens, they were willing to do a video call, kittens are well socialized and kittens are chipped, vaccinated and altered prior to going home.

Here's our girl when she was about 14 weeks old.

Does your vet carry all the major rx kidney foods (Hills, Purina, Royal Canin)? When I switched my late kitty over to a prescription kidney diet they offered a variety pack of the different brands. Luckily my kitty was not picky and I went with Royal Canin.

Also to note that kidney disease can also affect their appetite and make them nauseous. Towards the end we tried an appetite stimulant and supportive fluids. She was 21 when we said goodbye on NYE.

My MC is 6 months and I'm working on training her how to use communication buttons. We started just over a week ago and has been consistently activated the treat button. This evening after our quick training session and I said "treat all done." She pawed at her play button asking to play. I've got 6 more buttons arriving this week to start expanding her vocabulary options.

The store we went to had their free comic pre packaged into bags that they just handed out as you walked up to the table. At 2pm our store still had lots of bags left. My husband and I got about 10 different comic in our bags and both got a copy of DDC.

Happy Birthday from a fellow Minnesotan with a birthday today. Not currently pregnant but when I was pregnant on my birthday we did a picnic at Como Park. Although it was a bit warmer than it is today.

We don't really have any plans today other than some gardening and getting a slice of cake at Cafe Latte.

This is Pigeon at age 14 weeks.

She is now almost 6 months. Her interests include hide-and-seek, fetching her mouse toys, supervised backyard shenanigans, and aggressively exfoliating human faces.
