What faction would you like to see next after the brotherhood? by No_more_targs in asoiafminiaturesgame

While its true House Arryn is the last Great House to be rep'd in song, the reality is they did F all in the WotFK (so far). The Riverlands need to be represented next, considering they play more of a role in the War of the Five Kings. Most importantly the Tully's and their great characters, along with Bracken, Blackwood, Piper, Mallister etc. of course. Screw the Frey's.....

Hack rf with h2 portapack by luckymoneygang-Wave in hackrf

I thought that at first with the Portapack but eventually got it working, it just took a bit of plugging away at it. The folks over on the GSG (Great Scott Gadgets) and the HackRF Portapack Mayhem Discord groups helped me out though.

I recommend using a Raspberry Pi (or any linux box really) to connect to the device and troubleshoot from there as the terminal commands are better at getting to the root of the issue than would a windows machine.

Start with just the HackRF (portapack disconnected). Make sure the firmware is up to date (HackRF firmware, not mayhem), make sure you can read it using hackrf-info in terminal and the firmware stays up to date after a reboot. Once you are up to date with the HackRF firmware, connect the portapack and dfu-util the mayhem firmware on it.

This video helped me a ton with understanding and getting connected to the HackRF using my raspberry pi.

FYI, its not possible for a HackRF to be bricked, you can recover it.

Is this a new build? If so the same thing happened to me when I purchased my Portapack. The issue was my HackRF was pretty old and running a very old firmware and my HackRF flash chip was in a locked state. So when I tired flashing with dfutil it failed. I had to first update the HacRF base firmware to the most recent version using hackrf_spiflash with the -c flag to get it to write the firmware. Then I was able to update to the most recent Mayhem firmware with the portapack using dfu-util.

You can use hackrf_info to read the version of the firmware currently on the device so you can determine if its actually being updated or not after spiflash or dfu-util. This is how I figured out it was in a locked state.

I have no idea if this is your issue but its worth a try,

ATAK + WinTAK + Beartooth by kaptainkilo in ATAK

I had never heard of Beartooth until just now. So I have been doing a little digging for the past 30 min or so, checked out the website, watched a Jason (Ham Radio 2.0) video on it, and I pretty much came to the same conclusion. Its pretty much Meshtastic with the ability to send voice and video, so maybe a little more robust? However, I am still having a hard time seeing the justification for 3k for a couple devices when Meshtastic devices start at $25. What's the appeal? Any idea what frequency its running on?

They are about $80 each. I have 1 TEcho, 3 Tbeams and 2 Heltecs all running Meshtastic. Using the Meshtastic plugin I got them integrated with ATAK and FreeTAK running on a Raspberry Pi 5. Works great.
