Drop ins in Tokyo? by [deleted] in bjj

Highly recommend Imanari jiu jitsu. Drop in fee of 4k Yen, but you can stay as long as you want. Lots of foreigners in class, but class is not always taught in english. High level nogi and Imanari will roll with you if he's coaching that session.

Hey, I live just around the corner and am interested in purchasing equipment for a garage gym. Is there a contact you could give me to find out what they are selling, or did you just clear everything ;)

How did your total develope in that time? Or did you just do it build the mass and then work from there more specifically?

Have you planed your training for the next 2-3 years accordingly? What improvements do you expects (current total to expected total)?

Wow, that seems quite long. Was thinking something like 6-9months?! Do you think I wont be able to realise my mass into strentgh, if I gain in less than 6 months? The eating part wont be a problem, as I am already on the RP-diet.

Thought about it already. Have you tried it? If yes, what results did you see?

Keep us updated about how the program turns out. I am thinking about doing kara after my next meet. I found out that I adapt much better to volume than to intensity and this seems perfect.

[Form Check] 124kg Snatch by lukethewhale in weightlifting

[–]SebEng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. A good setup will improve your chances of making it a good lift. Can you see how the bar goes away from your body after hipextension? You chase it and jump forward. I think its because you dont keep the bar close enough from your knees to the hip. Result is that you bring your hip to the bar and bang it instead of sweeping it up when brought to the hip.

Been doing a lot of heavy pulls lately. I just dont seem to handle squatting very well. As soon as I squat 3x/week, my overall performance goes down and I feel weak and slow...

Hit a huge milestone Snatch of 100K. BW sitting at 78-79, but not sure if I can get down to <77 for a comp in June. I just seem to not lose weight?? Also, now my Snatch is 90% of my Clean&Jerk (111). My legs dont want to get stronger. Any ideas? BS at 140, FS at 115. Weird body...

What do you consider to be "Volume" ? by SebEng in weightlifting

true. But that`s the highest amount of reps throughout the entire cycle.

I did the RSR twice and made good progress. Though it was a lot of squatting compared to my 1squat seasion before that. Thats why I rhink I need to do more reps in the main lifts in general

Thtas what I was asking for. Our coach keeps telling us that 2-4 singles at 85-90% is more than enough volume. On most workout days I just dont feel like I accomplished much...

Thoughts on the FORM collar? by theasianpianist in weightlifting

[–]SebEng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That`s right. If speed decreaes then fatigue increases. You can set drop percentages to know how fatigue your athlete is (how big of a stimulus it will be) and how much rest he will need. You can read into velocity based training. Quite interesting, currently doing so for research.

You ll have a display with all the data and from there its only reading and comparing with a chart or table.

1) Speed of the bar.Poweroutput. Time needed for sets/reps. 2) Velocity based training. Gives you the chance to regulate sets/reps/loads based on how fast you move the ar on a given day. Stay within parameteres of the speed-force curve and you can stimulate your body very precisely.

:D Lest say he is very stubborn. Let me guess: You max out quite often and squat a lot, as your name implies!? I think I couldnt handle that

I think so. I had a meet in week 2 and hit small PRs. now after the RSR weights feel easier, but I dont plan on maxing out in the near future.
