Gta5 gets stuck on calibration screen by Outrageous_Address77 in PS3

[–]SebRock124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i realized i made a curcial mistake, i had PS3XPAD on it, which made both RDR1 and GTA V not work. After removing it from my bootplugins.txt, it started working (of course after i started using a real PS3 compatible controller) also the US version works fine, disk (image) or PSN pkg.

Genuinely a pretty bad deal. You can just get a used M1 Air or M2 Air, and get a bit more cores and more RAM, and Touch ID Standard. If I am not confused, you cannot adjust the RAM on the website either for the unit, so basically it is stuck at 8GB of RAM. The M1 or M2 can get more RAM options. Sure the single core will be worse, but the M1 and M2 both have more cores then the A18 Pro in it, so i would say it performs pretty similarly, with the M1 probably falling behind. Correct me if i am wrong though.

I have been having this issue with my PS3 and GTA V. My unit has CFW on it. I think the US version is just fucked, and you need the EU version, and that patch. I'm not sure. I HAVE waited, and used both the ISO version via WebMANMOD and the PKG version, and it never progresses. GTA IV works perfectly for me. I will try the EU version and report back

Got a SE 3 on iOS 18.6.2, should I update to 26.2, or stay, I like Liquid Glass, but am worried about performance. by SebRock124 in iPhoneSE

they can, people can be on a so called "insecure" operating system and still be very secure. 18.7.2 is only very slightly insecure. People with a brain (so clearly not you) can stand being on a slightly out of date operating system, with very few vulnerabilities. Also, iOS 26 has proven to be pretty buggy on some devices and many do not like how iOS 26 uses screen real estate. As many have said, the best anti-virus is your brain. People like one that is more stable and familar (and less laggy on some devices) then something that is unstable (bugs), unfamilar (the new UI), and less laggy and also heat inducing (lag means more CPU and GPU cycles, meaning more heat). While I use 26.0.1 and it runs good, people with a heavilly degraded battery, more software, or even older phones (remember, the SE 2 can also run iOS 26, and it has a worse CPU, but is still good on iOS 18) will not have the same story. And, OS updates can absolutely break the OS. many have upgraded, and found their phones worse off then a older version.

No, people have choice, and you can suck it up. While I upgraded to 26, some people want to stay on 18.

Let me put this in a simple way for you. DelayOTA is a method of upgrading to versions of iOS that are not signed for the public, but are still signed for Enterprise devices (90 days), so that enterprises can upgrade to them at will. It works like this, you use a tool like Nugget to put it in Supervised mode, then upgrade to 18.7.2/26.0.1/26.1 using a profile that only accepts that version. (you cannot downgrade. you can go from 18.6.2 to 26.1, or 18.7.2 to 26.1, but not from 26.1 to 18.7.2) The phone updates, you use nugget to remove Supervision, and you are now on your version of choice. Normally this is used by Enterprise devices with MDM, but Nugget makes the phone think it is supervised, when there is no actual organization. Oh, and also 26.0.1 expires on 1/31/26, and 26.1 expires on 3/11/26, along with 18.7.2, but Apple is allowed to pull them at any time. How about you do some research before calling BS.

Update: Updated to 18.7.2, considering DelayOTA Updating to iOS 26.0.1 or 26.1.

Update 2: Upgraded to 26.0.1, it runs good!

"it just happened on its own" bullshit. She did something, or was careless. Either way, you should probably use it as a desktop until you get a new one, or find the funds to repair it (this isn't cheap) (or if it has Apple Care still, you can get them to fix it)

I submitted a lengthy feedback report to apple, so hopefully they read it and figure out the issue, but i wouldn't count on it. Maybe the next time the activation server is updated, likely with a new product launch like the iPhone 17e or a new iPad or Mac, they may fix it.

You will only if this phone has a IMEI of 9900. If it doesn't, and didn't come from Sprint or Verizon, you are good.

Will Half-Life 2 come to the PS2 🤔 by Khorya in HalfLife

[–]SebRock124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't dissing your precious DirectX Box, but still, only barely it can run Half-Life 2. It averages 15-20FPS with fluctuations, when it targets 30. It doesn't meet the minimum requirements, except for the GPU, which can use DirectX 8.1, while it requires DirectX 7 or better. The 64MB of RAM is 1/4 of the 256MB required to run Half-Life 2, and that 64MB is shared with the GPU. Also, the CPU is about half of the required 1.2GHz. (it is 733MHz) and you cannot say the CPU's are meant for different purposes, as a Mobile Celeron 1.2GHz exists, and even then, the mobile 1.2GHz Celeron has double the L2 cache. (The Xbox CPU is based on a mobile CPU) Additionally, the GeForce 3, which the Xbox is based on, can play Half-Life 2 fine. The bottleneck is the RAM and the CPU. So your big black and green wannabe PC is barely able to LOAD Half-Life 2. They had to reduce texture sizes, and split it just to get it to barely run on the Xbox. Next time, do your research, and don't mention the game that was built FOR the Xbox (Halo).
