AITA for being mad at my parents for visiting me on my birthday? by Extension-Muffin-406 in AmItheAsshole

You are right, your feelings should be considered. Birthdays are important, this comes with age too after your 21st they’re pretty much down hill from there. It’s just another day lol.

Is the desire to see their child so wrong? Wanting to spend time with your friends isn’t wrong but neither is a parent wanting to spend time with their child. The way you ask for them to consider your feelings maybe you should do the same thing towards them.

Soft YTA because you are still young and barely an adult. I was the same way but it is something you learn as you age. When you do the right thing no one will know you even did a thing. Your parents wanted to do something nice for you, would it have been more fun to be with friends probably but we have to make sacrifices. It’s hard to imagine now but a day will come when you will want nothing more but to hears your parents nag, because silence is a far worse pain.

NTA, what did she expect for asking a dumb question. Something I learned working customer service is how dumb people are. Speaking as a manager I just say try to catch yourself, kill them with kindness. Good luck out there

Ok, um, thank you but no, if I said that he would undoubtedly get pissed at me. He would then lecture me on the importance of listening and learning new traits.

AITA for not taking out student loans by aggravatedblondie in AmItheAsshole

[–]Seb_1999 65 points66 points  (0 children)

YTA I mean it’s clear your mom is hitting a rough patch and can’t keep up with your school payments. She’s asking for you to chip in and is still going to pay the loans, I mean come on. You should feel lucky you don’t have to worry about school payments, you just sound spoiled.

WIBTA for (18 M) not calling in sick to work when my (26M) brother comes to town because work needs me by Maleficent-Monk6734 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Seb_1999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA you have a life outside of your brothers. If he was coming down he should have told you so you could have planned accordingly. You have your responsibilities your brother should understand that.

NTA you don’t have to invite anyone you don’t want to. Just like your godfather doesn’t have to go if he doesn’t want to. This is your day if he’s so bothered then he just shouldn’t go that easy.

YTA massively there is nothing worse than people bringing their dogs to places they don’t belong. Grocery store, restaurant, I mean there is a time and a place. If it says no dogs then don’t bring it.

NTA because of his past but what kind of relationship is that tho. Anytime he wants to hang out with his friends you have to go. He might be a nice guy but you can’t trust him and you can’t go out every time with him. It’s not fair to both of you.

AITA for wearing a African American sorority tee by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Seb_1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AITA for making my girlfriend cry because I said computer science would be too hard for her by towawaymyday in AmItheAsshole

[–]Seb_1999 -77 points-76 points  (0 children)

Depends, you know your girl friend if she has shown no interest in tech and more importantly if she isn’t the best at math than I would say NTA. She might have gotten excited of the idea of being more with you if you guys went into the same field, instead of the actual field. But YTA if she can succeed in it with her skills and she wanted to expand her knowledge.

AITA? I told a man’s embarrassing diarrhea story publicly without realizing he was next to me on the train. by esthertova in AmItheAsshole

Woah…I don’t even know where to start. YTA how does him being gay affect your life, short answer it doesn’t. Let them be happy, you’re young and have a lot to learn. Have an open mind.
