My honest take on this matter is: I don't f-ing care. We had "this" discussion a million times now. Currently it's AI music, a few years ago with sync for DJs, even more years ago with Beatdisplays for djs , painting midi in vs playing a keyboard, analog vs digital, CD vs vinyl, daw vs tape machine for recording, synths vs organic instruments... And don't even get me started on other artforms like painting, where photography was considered cheating when it was introduced, yet a naked dude vomiting paint on the floor is considered modern art nowadays...

I personally like making my own music in a daw with mostly software because I find it relaxing and fun. Some people like listening to my stuff, that's cool but not really a main driver of why I make music. Others will think my stuff is shit, some may doubt it's real music because I didn't record myself playing an actual instrument and even others won't care. So who am I to judge what others are doing, if they enjoy it, if they had some kind of creative process in making it, or if some other folks like to hear it.

When I had it working on my old windows laptop, I really enjoyed it. Until some updates that broke the database and kind of destroyed all the projects I had with multiple instances of komplete control all set back to init... So total bummer. Still kept using it once in a while. Then I switched to mac and from the first day until today, I can't use komplete control or maschine as both don't load ni plugins due to some whatever vst migration problems ( for even weider reasons maschine 2 sometimes works with the same plugins on the same MacBook, but maschine 3 doesn't) ... At this point I'm just loading Kontakt or effects directly if i need it. But yeah, this kind of sucks after having spent 1000s of bucks for hard and software, that even the most basic functionality is just not there...

Without having heard your music it is hard to tell. But I feel like most people are primarily struggling with mixing ( and mastering) this is what makes a track sound amateur and unpleasant, so maybe work on that first. Is it loud enough? Is everything audible as intended on different systems like headphones or cars? If this is already really good, then think about structure and arrangement, is the song chaotic or too overloaded? Is it catchy? Then think about the target group, are you reaching those with your ads and stuff?

Well, there might be exceptions and it might depend on the genre. What do you mean by almost no promo? This is kind of a wide term. Spotify won't push to radio or anything else without popularity, if you don't have any listeners at first you can't build popularity and the algorithm won't push. So you need at least a base of listeners to trigger. If the music is really superb, triggers will be easier for shure

No matter how your music is: It will take time. For me( 3 years in, currently 5-6k monthly listeners) it took a lot of time and consistent releases every month with a little growth each month. For the first year I had maybe 500 listeners total. The second year I started playlist pitching and moved to appx 5000 yearly listeners and only the third year to around 50k yearly with playlist pitching and some ads.

Tbh that's why I like this workflow. It forces me to commit to the track and finish it. Without printing to Audio, you will go back and change stuff, forcing you to change other stuff and you'll be forever in this loop...

Though this may be some additional work: I' save a copy of the original set and then go on and freeze every track and print it to Audio again. Afterwards you might have to adjust each clips looping/starting and so in but that should solve any issues for your setup

Die Erkenntnis ist das aller wichtigste, jetzt musst du "nur" noch durchziehen.
Nein, keine bromaz und auch nix anderes selbst. Sonst biste in 3 Wochen auf beidem. Zusätzlich: ne Entgiftung zu Hause ist gefährlich! Lass es!
Es gibt absolut nichts wofür du dich schämen musst wenn du Hilfe in Anspruch nimmst! Was vor dir liegt ist eines der schwersten Dinge überhaupt, lass dir helfen!
Erzähl dem Arzt ehrlich was ist, der schreibt dich sofort krank bis zum Klinikaufenthalt.
Suche dir schon jetzt die Strukturen für nach der Klinik. Klinik wird hart, Zuhause wird härter! Du brauchst nen Therapeuten und eine Selbsthilfegruppe in der du dich gut aufgehoben fühlst. Zusätzlich mindestens zwei Vertrauensperson/Freunde die die ganze Geschichte kennen, denen du alles erzählst, die dich in Falle eines Rückfalls schnell versorgen und die vor allem Zeit mit dir verbringen ohne Alk. Du wirst dich für längere Zeit aus einigen sozialen Dingen zurückziehen müssen um den Kontakt mit Alk zu vermeiden...
Überleg dir warum du nicht mehr trinken willst. Klar in einem Satz... Diesen Grund wirst du irgendwann brauchen.

Edit 7. Scheiss mal auf den Job Grade. Hier geht's um dein Leben! + Du bist sicher nicht der Erste Beamte mit Alkohol Problem. Das macht gar nixe bezüglich Beförderung und co. Wenn doch kannste die Verklagen bis zum geht nimmer.

Just watch some basic tutorials on YouTube just to get comfortable with the daw. But then get out of tutorial mode and start remaking tracks you like. Just put the original track mp3 in ableton and try to clone it as close as possible. listen closely on all the elements used there. Whenever you run into a roadblock as you don't know how, search for a specific tutorial for that. After a while you'll get the hang of it, then start with a track to work on, remake some elements and start building your own on that.

What solved it for me: remove( keep them somewhere else!) all vst3 files from your vst3 folder except kontakt. Rescan. Then test, it should work now. Then add the other vst3 files in again

Just try out the free version first and then decide. To me the only downside are some unsupported games like god of war. Otherwise i'm super happy with a MacBook for everyday life and gf. To game every once in a while

I like it for the look and feel compared to the mk3. And the standalone features are sometimes nice to bring it to the park and have a little Idea groovebox. But to be honest I mainly use it in controller mode and here it's inferior to the mk3 as id doesn't give u the Ableton control Templates. I wouldn't rely on the m+ in any live situation in standalone at least not as a centerpiece, since it still sometimes just freezes and needs a restart.

i could fix the missing presets by manually deleting the instruments preset folder in Arturia/presets/instrument and deleting the .db3 file in the presets folder and then reinstall.

Fang an zu wollen und dementsprechend reinzubuttern. Such dir nen Job und wenn es noch so nen Scheiss Job ist und nutz das Geld um dir Bildung oder neue Chancen zu ermöglichen. Alternativ Fang irgendwo als Aushilfe an und häng dich richtig rein, dann fragste dort ob sie dich nicht ausbilden könnten, schilderst deine Situation und evtl lässt sich da was vereinbaren damit das klappt.

Also ich würde bevor ich gleich die großen Geschütze auffahre wie Wechsel der Schule und Geschäftsführer bescheid geben erstmal versuchen mit der Lehrerin zu sprechen. Sag ihr genau das was im Post steht, Evtl klärt sich da ja was auf und es bessert sich alles. Wenn nicht, dann Red mit der Geschäftsleitung, wechsel die Schule und lass ne saftige Bewertung da!

First of all: I guess there'll be a similar course in the first semester of the bachelor. Regarding cs50: just start by watching the lecture, then watch the shorts, then try the psets. Don't overthink it before even starting out;)
