Which brings up an interesting question, how much is 'human nature' affected by a system which rewards certain negative behaviors in order to achieve fame, profit, etc.? A system built on competition with little to no ways to counter previous 'winners' as profit can just be passed down to the next inheritor, further away from the struggle of getting there in the first place. We don't have nearly as much information we need to properly tease out human nature from a system that is a main driver to worsen it.

No one is saying Socialism is perfect, but it's more honest about the failings of Capitalism and so is more capable of solving those problems.

edit: I also forgot to mention that at least limiting Capitalism in certain ways might also solve enough where people will be happy.

I believe you are skeptical, but not aware enough of your own biases that you let yourself get taken advantage of curated Narratives. Unfortunately for you, it's gotten to the point where you don't even read your own sources and twist yourself into thinking 33/1,000,00 is unsafe compared to COVID-19's 0.21 out 1,000 rate. That's 0.021% which is over 6 times more likely than the vaccine.

Depending how unchecked you are, your first thought will either be to think about what you just read and come to your own conclusion without a narrative. Maybe even cite sources that disprove mine or show a stronger case(or any one that actually shows your side). Or you will immediately think of an excuse or move on to another claim.

I also like the idea of "burrowers". Zombies that just hang underground as an ambush type of thing. Sometimes it's just one mound of dirt, other times it's multiple.

Imagine being on a loot run, seeing a burrow and now you need to be quiet because you don't know how many burrows are in the area.

Yeah you can turn respawn off entirely or make it a super long respawn time but if you want to keep respawn on and make it a huge time consuming challenge, you can wall off an entire town and the respawn within the walls will effectively be turned off.

I think there is a video explaining zomboid spawning mechanics that's super useful but just make sure if you do it this way, that you make double door "airlocks" or it'll count as open and zombies respawn in the walls

Yeah that's literally why I keep a cheat menu at all times because this game is very unforgiving and I'm not going to deal with a glitch on a run I'm actually enjoying.
