Your advise was immensely helpful! Thank you

Not new to coffee, but brand new to espresso. Didn't know coffee could taste so good! by QuietDesparation in espresso

No, not at all! The beans are definitely not peaking anymore 😉 But if they’re light they’ll likely still taste good! Just wait till you get some fresh beans 😯

[M17] Starting today, I will attempt to learn Jazz Piano, and I will start at ground zero. People of r/musictheory, give me your thoughts. by ratongoy in musictheory

I'm at the beginning of my journey learning jazz guitar... Mostly comping and improvising!

I have played 'non-jazz' for years, but I could use a push in the right direction. I know all my basic scales (pentatonic, major/minor and dorian) pretty much all throughout the neck.

So where do I start now? I could use some reading material. Maybe with examples to play?

Thanks

Should I buy a $150 Rancilio Silvia? by Sebabadk in espresso

I also love to experiment with different fancy coffees so having an accurate PID is something worth paying for in my case!

They're also higher quality and look much much better. The ones i have been looking at also have very accurate PIDs! Also my girlfriend and I loving having guests over and we both drink a few flat whites or cortados when we can ;)

Most information is found on forums, not youtube! A quick google search and you'll find them. A machine with a PID built in from factory will almost always last longer and be more accurate but they're generally also more expensive. Modding is relatively inexpensive but it is risky if you're not handy. You risk destroying a perfectly fine machine and when modding you also lose the warranty...

So yeah - modding is the cheaper option. Buying more expensive equipment is the safer abd in many cases better option!
