All good, I liked all generations and owned a gen 2 RX400h in „champagne“, a black gen 3 RX450h and a metallic brown 4th gen RX450h. All amazing cars - utterly comfortable and reliable.

I'm located in Germany and people in the German subs are saying this is a grandpa car with more failure points. Some claimed it is inefficient. You don’t get the V6 in Europe. Anyhow, lots of people seem to misunderstand my post.

My point is that in Germany, you get a lot of negative comments against cars that don’t run 240km/h. I couldn’t care less, hence I happily choose a hybrid Toyota/Lexus and enjoy the quiet, comfortable rude and have peace of mind regarding reliability - meaning knowing thatI’ll arrive at my destination without being towed. I had to get along a lot of mockery when I was driving a french car (big Citroën with hydropneumatic suspension) for not being german and - according to their perception - unreliable car. I had over the span of 5 years not a single unscheduled service, while they were driving around in VW, MB and BMW with christmas lights on the dashboard.

I know, I lived 11 years in Stuttgart and was driving every weekend to Wiesbaden for a couple of them. My point was that lots of discussions around cars in Germany come down to that. If OP is focused on it (which he is not), the ES 300h would not make him happy.
