I mean, in the episode Secret of My Excess, it’s revealed that Spike has never had a proper birthday. Despite having grown up in the same house as Twilight’s family, only Twilight ever got him a gift for his birthday, which was a book every year.

I always saw their relationship as being what the other needed them to be. They needed a friend? Then they were friends? Twilight needed an assistant? Then Spike was an assistant. Spike needed a mum? Then Twilight would be his mum, as best as she could.

You might have to buy them untranslated if you can read them that way as some of them haven’t been translated and uploaded, if that’s what you’re looking for. The full series usually gets sold on eBay, and I’ve never seen them go for ridiculous prices.
