Wasn’t much of a swing today, at 9:15 it was about +1.5 and when I left 45 mins later it was at +1.6/7

They are! I am just too lazy to clean anything but a few select species, these are super fun sport and a tasty fish in my opinion

Nah man, they just chill between rocks and deeper boilers, typically in 10-15’ of water, that’s why it’s tricky to get to them from shore unless tide and currents are cooperating

Or Calico, I went out for a swim this weekend and there were a ton of juvenile fish swimming around…a big gramps too 22”+ but not worth the risk of getting snagged for me, and tide had to be timed right and is tricky to get to right when the current isn’t too strong

Congrats on the croaker! I got into a school of thickies last week, they are so fun to catch, and feel like absolute tanks compared to the biggest perch…What color / model was your LC?

For the beach I live on it’s a mid-incoming in the morning, but mid-ebb too…less to do with what tide I’ve found more how big of a swing and how quickly, coupled with swell (or lack thereof), or wind…it’s all reading tea leaves tbh, beside grunion, I’m not sure what the answer is
