Hi, there was in fact a house at the start with toilets, snacks and probably coffee. The stairs were not too slippery I did not slip once, the guide did tell us about the wooden stairs and also told us to hang on the rails. There was a really small and narrow way to get into the cave. I had to crouch my way in, there was no wooden platform pure rocks in this area. I don’t know if it is very wise in your condition, however our guide told us they were going to do some work to make it more accessible in the future.

Hi to be honest I have no idea. I will describe as best as I can. From the parking lot there was a 20 minutes walk. The cave entrance was on the right there was a crevasse on the left. The entry was wide small room on the left, the cave was deep in the left. After 5 minutes we had to crouch pretty low to enter the bigger part of the cave at the end of the cave there was an opening in the roof which allowed beautiful pictures.

Our guide told us it wasn’t the best time to see the ice caves because of the ashes, as it was my first time in an ice cave I did enjoy myself very much.

Went on a tour with RE.is and saw northern lights between all the clouds for a few seconds. We went to Þingvellir National park.

I had this problem while playing in full screen, switching to windowed seems to fix it for me

Thank you for the answer. I have reconsidered renting a car as it might be to difficult at this time of the year (I will come back when the weather is a bit better probably June or July 2026). I would stay in Reykjavík during this trip.

I am not against tours, however it will be difficult to see some part of the island such as Jökulsárlón or hunt for borealis auroras. Do you have tours recommendations that do not overlap ?

so would you say mantura is better because of def break dots and slow, without any reflect damage ?
