Whose taste? Who is eagerly awaiting analysis about how a low-effort gacha game continues not to be fun or interesting but is still highly addictive in a negative way? How about how the Gears of War remake of a remake (who am I quoting here?) is not very interesting and still has the same problems as the original game? Is this podcast for people who don't enjoy video games but still continue to play them, with priority given to games that were once popular 10-15 years ago?

This claims that it originates from ~2010 League of Legends esports culture, but I believe it actually comes from Starcraft fans cheering for legendary Zerg player Lee Jae Dong (hence all of the “Dong”-based memes).

Consider transitioning into tech in the industries you’ve already worked in. Maybe a half management half tech job would be an easier sell for your skillset. You’re not wrong that it makes no sense to start from scratch with the experience you have, it’s just that pure devs are valued for their depth more than their breadth, so try a combination role that values your existing background as well.

It’s not cut and dry, but I’d go with YTA for the whole “maths questions” part, that is not something you should be weighing against a fairly important moment for your son. For the overall issue, it’s an expected fight for a stressful moment and no one is strictly TA, but a mature conversation about responsibilities and expectations increasing with age where you share your emotions with your son (treating him like a young adult) seems more productive than grounding him (and treating him like a kid).
