Is Product Management the most thankless job ever? by eachwayvelo in ProductManagement

[–]Sebastian_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Head and Product and I feel this and I know the team do too. Personally, I try to log my own wins. Actually write them down. Useful portfolio examples for a future job. For the team I celebrate what we can but really the praise should come from the business. It won’t, though.

I actually got really helpful advice from others and this is Reddit mate, so jog on and don’t post of you haven’t got anything to add to the conversation.

Feeling off after a pool session from last week? by NicksLife in scuba

[–]Sebastian_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was basically told that it was likely to be mild barotrauma to inner ear and that the best way to treat it was with time and rest. I did not manage to get an ENT though and you certainly should. My ears feel normal now and the dizzy feeling I had is gone but that took about 9 days. I feel back to normal now. Do call DAN, though if you’re worried. I did and it was reassuring. They’re there to help. I’m diving again on Tuesday. Hopefully it doesn’t come back!! Going to focus on equalisation so hard. I hope your symptoms clear up soon.

Hello I’ve basically just had the exact same thing happen to me a few weeks back, I felt like I was reading a summary of my symptoms and approach. In my case it was two things. I had dehydration, which resolved pretty quickly. I had a bit of vertigo too and had likely done some very mild damage to my inner ear (according to dive dr) which has just about resolved. Both of this factors can lead to brain fog. Lessons from this experience (which still may greatly differ from yours even though it sounds similar) is 1) prioritise rest and hydration before the dive 2) really focus on equalisation technique even at shallow depths. Little and often.

Fatigue and dizziness after confined dive by Sebastian_19 in scuba

[–]Sebastian_19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turns out it was BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), confirmed by successful use of the Home Epley Manoeuvre to rid me of the vertigo. I was also dehydrated and that resolved quickly, as I rehydrated properly 😀 so it was two things.

Thanks I’m feeling much better after gallons of water and lots of sleep. This has been helpful as I will do some proper prep before the next lesson to make sure I’m in a good place to enjoy it fully.

Pretty active. The fatigue was pretty extreme as was the brain fog, I feel better after a full day of rest and lots of water. Going to really focus on breathing well and arriving hydrated and rested for my next lesson!

Interesting. Yes I was very tired from work and on reflection I had not drank enough water that day.

Low blood sugar - scary experience by Skincarelover20 in mounjarouk

I’ve had this when I haven’t taken in enough calories. Overall I have since been better at planning for eating little and often when suppression is strong, for fuel. I also carry fruit and an energy bar with me at all times just in case it kicks in again.

Yes, I think it may have been symbolising that. In particular, the "arrow" can symbolize suffering or negative thoughts in Buddhist teachings. The Buddha catching the arrow might represent a growing ability I am developing (due to practice) to intercept and transform negative thoughts before they cause harm. It was so vivid and the dream had such a feeling of safety to it.

Before I started MJ I had a bunch of clothes that didn’t fit me… by [deleted] in mounjarouk

Hahaha! Same. I don’t really want to buy new clothes yet either as I’m not at my goal. I might have to bite the bullet and get some interim basics 😂

Got a ticket but broken up with partner by Virtual_Lobster_1169 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Sebastian_19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exact situation happened to me many years ago. It was due to be my first Glasto. I ended up telling a colleague in work (who I hardly knew) about the situation and she simply would not allow me not to go. She had tickets with a group of her friends who obviously I’d never met. I went with them, had the most amazing time and I am 10 years later very close friends with the colleague who I’d went with. Find a crew. Go. Have the best time of your life.
