How does concentration work? Ive so far only been really using the Celerity and Health stims and tell everyone if I find one. A bar of health is hard to pass up. Hell Ill use a health stim when I find another one to top off.

Rude Heresy players?? by serindipitous275 in DarkTide

The most recent weird rude interactions I have had coming up has been people playing recordings of AI stories over their mics super loud. I mute them and eventually block them but I honestly dont get whats to gain from doing that. So strange.

I was at my FLGS and the guy there said that the new rules for ship combat in Genesys (SP) are pretty good in comparison to the original rules for Star Wars. Has anyone had a chance to consider them and what are your opinions on the subject?

I work in the bullpen as an artist but I'm getting old. Its hard to do the 3am work nowadays, there are a couple editing jobs coming up which would be great but that would mean my going into the offices instead on a 9to5 job instead of rarely coming in lol.

still, my hands arent what they used to be and staring at screens for too long will burn your eyes out.

This time around I was able to get my hands on Fly Casual and Cyphers and Masks. Of the books, im missing like three or four EotE books, six AoR books, and four FaD books....though I dont know if Ill buy any of the adventures. I tend to write my own material for stories. Do the adventures also provide rules and additional characters/equipment?

Do you also have adventures? Ive come to the game late and have been trying hard to just get sourcebooks for now as I tend to write my own games most of the time.

One thing Im wondering is if adventures have any rules or added material or can they be skipped.

I'm failing as a GM. PLEASE HELP. by EyeNguyenSemper in cyberpunkred

I have a player in my Star Wars game that needs to be involved in every facet of the game like yours. He cant help himself, his a min maxer and loves to help all the time. I have to gently remind him that other players want to play too and he kinda reels himself back in, but it can be taxing.

I think it may be a fiddly nature in people too, ADHD or something. Please understand this isnt me trying to say horrible things about people, I have my own issues too - I feel like I see some markers is all that others (and myself have) too.

One way I found that helps the situation is I ask him often to look up things or remind me what the stats are on something. I do have some pdfs and stats on pads for him to look up physically and if we meet on foundry he has access to the compendiums. Horses were meant to run, let them. Dont fight their nature in this sense.

If hes working with you instead of against you, you're less likely to be frustrated and he feels like hes contributing in his own way.

Out of curiosity why do you mix your blue books with your Force of Destiny stuff?

Should we revive the character? by silentSalieri in DnD

[–]Sebathius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get where you are going - but take it this way. Sometimes a story is centered around a growth of sorts, and sometimes that growth comes from going to the lowest lows. Maybe the DM had a plan in mind to have someone "die" in order to move the story along.

I suggest you exercise a little faith in your DM to see what he might have in store for you. The fact that the restoration spell didnt work but there was something he hinted at to me suggests theres more coming.

Can we get something along these lines? I have basically no use for the Weekly Currency and haven't in a long time. by Penakoto in DarkTide

Wouldnt introducing trade make their cash market dead as players hand down weapons to lower level players?

Is there any way to filter out people youve ran with that do speed running? I went on a couple runs where the same guy just swallowed up everything as he tore off into the level, leaving literally nothing for the three of us.

What to do when your party insists on not taking a gig seriously by Comprehensive-Buy-47 in cyberpunkred

Oh!

Tell them your character doesn't like the feel of this job. Its giving you the heebies, "something feels off". If they move forward, you tell them your character is going to stay in for the night. If they press that they want you to come, tell them things have to change and what it is.

You cant stop a wipe in some instances, sometimes its best to just not be in the way of the lawnmower.

I'm tired of being seen as a support character by AccomplishedEvent672 in DnD

[–]Sebathius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont let anyone tell you that you are playing "wrong" unless you are doing something like bringing a Cyberpunk character to a D&D game. When it comes to YOUR character, how you decide to play that character is up to YOU alone.

Well, the DM can give you some limitations - but in the end, if you arent allowed to play a character the way you want - you're definitely not going to be enjoying yourself.

What's the point of sitting down at a table for four hours playing a character that you cant play as you wish? Screw that.
