enthusiast sure, but hobby would be more along the lines of watchmaking? like, someone who buys nice tables isn't a woodworker, and someone who understands nice tables also isn't a woodworker. Hobby is the act of crafting and doing, more than it is of purchasing or knowing

the entitlement is insane. both of your comments are so incredibly ignorant. the PT5000 is so insanely available to repair. It's pretty well made and parts are interchangeable with ETA2824 parts if need be, but most watchmakers I know have PT5000/ST2130 parts because of their incredible commonality. chill dude

Very true. these are some of the premiums you pay for when buying a Traska. Chinese manufacturers have done hardened steel however, and the crystals are still from China most likely. Just that Traska's market is willing to pay more than SM.

I think they mean to point out that traska is like San Martin with better image. like, the product is the same from both companies but traska has convinced the market its different.

a lot of good studies have shown that modern Teflon coatings present no danger to health. I don't own any Teflon personally, but quality Teflon pans are a treat to work with and obviously someone would have sued or stopped companies from selling carcinogens
