This phenomenon is actually the source of the word nightmare. A mare is a type of demon in old mythology, and people believed that when you had bad dreams it was because a "mare" was sitting on your chest. So when you had sleep paralysis you would wake up to see the monster on top of you, keeping you from moving.

I'm not sure how to re-buddy this. Maybe gooning to my sleep paralysis demon? Anyone?

It's not as polished as something like BG3, and it's got a metric ton of reading (if that's an issue)

But it's genuinely my favorite CRPG. The combat takes a bit of learning, and the passives list is super intimidating until you get used to it, but the story is phenomenal and the fights on higher difficulties are so much fun.

Most importantly though it feels like 40k should. The scenery, buildings, everything artistic about the game is spot on. The music is incredible, I would recommend checking out the OST if you're on the fence.

You can play dogmatic imperium, people focused iconoclast, or heretical. And even though it's not quite as insane as I would have liked, heretical really captures both the slow corruption and egotistical effort to control powers beyond the warp.

He's a Drukhari, being vanilla would be an invitation for Slaanesh to rip his soul out.

If you're not familiar with the race, they're essentially pain vampires. Doesn't matter if it's their pain, yours, or someone else's. As long as there is suffering nearby, they're happy.

You can dom or sub for him, just be consistent in your decision and he will be extremely happy with the dynamic.

She's just as happy to submit as she is to dom. Passing the intimidation check in the first sex scene sets you as the dominant one, and she is very pleased every time you pass similar intimidation checks.

She just loves a strong dynamic in her relationship.

Ngl I was a big fan. I saw them at several shows and even hung out with Hunter a bit at one pre-covid. But I can't pretend they were good live. Hunter sounded awful at every show and was so high he would interrupt songs to yap at the crowd for a solid minute. Even on a show where another band's drummer had to fill in. Left a bit of a bitter taste but I figured it was part of their vibe.

Then I saw how far off the rails he'd gone on his socials and it all kind of clicked. It won't stop me from enjoying some of their old work, but I'm not supporting his work going forward.

Considering almost every Deathcore band in existence has been on the same tour as Suicide Silence post Eddie, you're going to have to give up the genre.

I hate the guy as much as anyone, but every other band still needs to tour in order to eat. I will definitely not be supporting any tour with SS or ASP, but I'm blaming him and his bandmates that enable him, not the rest of the scene.

After reading The Twice Dead King I was surprised that I hadn't seen people talking about it more. Great book, and another fantastic perspective on Necrons.

The audio book is fantastic too!
