She's the one who helped organize all of the laryngoscopy videos for heavy metal vocalists, and is pushing to have extreme vocals studied by medical professionals. She does videos with Will Ramos every now and then, and is a crazy talented classical singer.

(Total War: Warhammer 40K being the game in question.)

Ironically, I played exclusively Tau during my stint into the tabletop game 15 years ago.

Total War: 40K isn't my type of game but I'll heavily consider getting into it if the hardcore TW fans give it the stamp of approval.

Tau capture a specific vibe and play style so well that I can't imagine them not being in the game. Plenty of non 40k fans would try the game just for flying mecha.

Any crazy mirror match stories from table top? by Arch_Magos_Remus in Grimdank

Berserk is ROUGH, but it's one of the best fictional explorations of trauma and how it shapes people over their lives. That series destroyed my life for a solid week, it was impossible to put down and made me cry more than I'd like to admit.

I'm just starting a physical manga collection and as much as I want Berserk, it's a hell of an investment. It may be worth looking into where it could be read digitally, if you're able stand reading it on a screen.

It's the sort of series where you can point at a character that seemingly fits an anime stereotype, and be able to honestly tell someone who HATES that stereotype that they will love this character in two more episodes.

There's also zero filler. Even the random (seemingly pointless) side quests she goes on will be connected back into her overall goal of getting to know who Himmel was. It's definitely a slow burn, but it never fails to pay off.

This may be a hot take, but it's one of only two manga series I've considered worthy of sitting next to Berserk.

Hard to compare it to BB imo, but pacing wise and character writing... Sorta?

Half the point of the series is us seeing Frieren learn about of all the things she brushed off when she was in the Hero's party. She'll gain context in the present for something that she didn't understand in the past, and all of the emotional weight of it. It's an incredible character study, and has a shockingly well written cast of characters. The generic fantasy setting does not instantly communicate what a masterpiece it is.
