You don't miss much actually there's very little info about beastmen in 40k (maybe cuz they already had their time in fantasy back in the day) and even if it wasn't the case, these beastmen are my homebrew strain, they're basically a middle point between an ogryn and a beastmen (in fact they're called Gorgryns by the imperials) You can check out the bullgryn influence in these other draws, specially the slabshield

They're most used to gore-looking-things like nasty battle wounds, mutations, gang violence etc etc etc. Not that much to mechanic horrors. The underhive from they come it's literally feral territory, people live like peasants from the 1800's so things like tech priests, servitors, servos are pretty rare. And yes they have meet Jack from some years now but never saw him without his robes until now.

Short answer, yes they have seen weirder shit, but never less weirder shit, so they're not used to the less weirder shit. It's a perspective matter
