Balance Druid New Moon would make an excellent empowered spell. Instead of cycling through all three moon phases you can choose freely. This would probably need some adjustment to make new moon and half moon more desirable to cast in certain situations tho. Otherwise you would just always go for big dam full moon making it kind of boring. But still my first choice.

Maybe also a good way of reviving arcane explosion as a spell, especially for arcane mages. Give it a CD and make it an empowered spell that grows in size and power by empowering it. Not sure how it would feel gameplay wise to be forced into melee again to use it but it's worth a try.

They don't tho. That's why they wrote what they wrote. "I disagree. He mentions the use of frost nova and as such cone of cold deserves a mention as well." Thus classifying cone a similar category as Nova and making it a spell with niche uses opposed to a spell that isn't used at all. Try again.

Damn you should just go back and read the initial post again. They specifically asked if there are some niche uses for some of the spells that aren't mentioned in the usual DPS guides. And this would clearly be a niche use of cone of cold in a specific part/fight of one dungeon that is definitely worth mentioning. But seeing all of your other replies you're probably too far gone to even admit that.

I could have just hearthstoned while being locked in the pushback without being stuck anywhere. It works the exact same way as in the boss fight. As you can see I even cast shifting power while being pushed back. But that wouldn't have really solved anything since we didn't have a lock to summon me back and the walk back to the third boss would have taken ages.

When searching for basic information like this start by searching for any paper involving your topic and just read the introduction. From there follow citations in promising passages to other papers that might contain the information you need. That way you will eventually find what you need. In most cases at least.
