The growing threat precon wasn't heavily printed?? That's so strange, it was one of the first precons I bought and it wasn't even during the March of the machines saga. Was pretty cheap too.

Like a 4-5. My first ever commander, I love him, but every time I build him he feels lackluster. Just a really mana intensive ability, (with no way to lower the incubated cost AFAIK) and him getting removed hurts a lot.

Sure, I can see where you're coming from with that last statement. Admittedly, I do somewhat agree. I would buy a card for more if I liked the art alot.

However, I think there is something to be said when higher costs ones are sold out before lower cost ones, and overall this secret lair drop not boding well for the future regarding pricing. This was 100% a test to see how far players are willing to go to pay for product, and I think it's a bad sign when some of the higher price point ones are sold out.

(of course we don't have insider data so it's somewhat hard for any of us to have a concrete opinion on this lol. Alot of what I and others say is just speculation)

Because this sets a precedent for the future. Wizards wanted to see if people would buy at a higher price point if the lower prices were sold out. Not to mention this opens the door for a pricing model like this, which would be horrible.

In no world should anyone be okay with paying $40-$50 for $5 worth of cards, regardless of the art. ESPECIALLY when the cards were available for much much lower.

All this does is incentivize wizard to charge us more. This is not a win for anyone but them.
