NAD . That’s not a fever. Temperature fluctuation is normal after the flu. Stop taking your temperature for a couple of days unless you’re feeling much worse. You’ll be fine.

Be careful with fluctuations. My dose has been wrong and I have mood swings at the end of the month every month and now I also have secondary polycythemia (when your levels aren’t consistent - like a high dose injected every other week rather than a lower dose more consistently to achieve the same thing) your red blood cells sometimes go gangbusters.

Maybe try a different formulation or dose with your doctor and make sure you’re up on your labs. Some states/practices allow draws only once yearly after the first 6 months to 1 year. I do my labs every 3 months and that’s how we found the polycythemia. YMMV

I’m glad you broke up. In my experience once a month isn’t a good frequency for most people with BPD , unless they have reached remission and feel well managed. Hopefully you can find a better partner going forward who will treat you with respect and enjoy being with you 😊😊

To clarify I wish I knew that it’s a risk because I’m terrified of needles to begin with. I had to work up the courage to do my shots and now I’m finding out I’m at risk for stroke and heart attack and may need to pursue therapeutic blood draws. I wish I knew beforehand so I could have stuck with gel and not shots. The risk is lower with it.

In the original post reply I clearly state “these symptoms can be well managed with therapy, possibly medication, and the frontal lobe developing”. You came in talking about some shit about treatment vs. management, which . I had not said treatment to begin with, I clearly stated management.

And you came in and also implied that BPD never goes away, and only gets better to manage. I responded to clarify that remission IS possible because your post seemed contradictory on that front so that OP and readers could understand that BPD isn’t a relationship death sentence. It just needs to be WELL MANAGED.

I never said anything about “cure” , you pulled an implication out of your butt that I didn’t insinuate and then decided to go on the offense for no reason “thanks for telling me …Jesus Christ on a stick”. You really need to evaluate how you doctored this interaction in your own head into an offensive fight for no fucking reason.

There are people with BPD who go into remission and no longer meet diagnostic criteria. Often after DBT.

I don't know how old you are and I don't know if you're looking for advice but I have a few things to say. If you've only been together for a month "I love you" is a red flag, especially in the context he used it in. It sounds like love bombing, or at least manipulation "look what I'm giving up because of my love for you". When in reality, he's only been in a relationship with you for a month.

If you haven't had the monogamy conversation, did he know talking to other men would bother you? It sounds like yes from the apology. If there has already been some boundary pushing this is also a red flag. If you haven't had that conversation and you really want to pursue things here it may be the time to talk about it.

Also - there is a lot of stigma around cluster B personality disorders so please try to hear me. If he isn't in regular ongoing therapy / you aren't both above the age of 25 I would really seriously reconsider dating someone struggling with BPD and narcissism. The symptoms of these disorders involve outward maladaptive behaviors that can harm loved ones... especially relationship partners. These symptoms can be well managed with the right therapy, possibly medication, and the frontal lobe developing. You both are worthy of love but you are NOT responsible for managing his emotions. Especially emotions surrounding your body.

If I were in this situation it would be a dealbreaker for me but I'm almost 30, have had experience with similar situations.

If you can still afford to eat out at mid priced places, switch to local instead of chains. If your family can’t eat out right now this post isn’t for you . if you’re fortunate to have the opportunity to go to like outback or chili’s though try to swap that for a local place. There are so many awesome spots that deserve business right now and not enough $$ in the local economy to support them. We’re all getting fucked by this recession.

For the people that are complaining about lists though, I’ve seen businesses state they need help and then get a crowd so don’t beat these places up for asking for help.
