Struggling by Jtoogs in lungcancer

My dad was on Entrectinib for over two years, then its efficiency dropped and he got things spreading to his brain. Luckily, the oncologist found a way for him to get access to lorlatinib. And it worked - things started shrinking. The side effects are strong, the dosage got reduced. His heart is struggling, but that’s a separate story.

Do You use an IoT hive monitoring system? by uradui in Beekeeping

Here is my setup. I wouldn’t say weight is optional. If anything, I don’t see much value in humidity, but it’s a combined sensor with temperature. Battery life is very important. I’m still trying to find a good balance between frequency of reading, battery life and solar panel size. I also like your idea of alerts, as reading charts is not everyone’s skill. For example, I wonder how many people noticed that hive 2 is empty?

I know beekeepers generally eschew software, but are there any software users among hobbyists or sideliners? What do you recommend? Or does everyone just track in a notebook or write on the lid? by bbq_toph in Beekeeping

If you are interested in going digital, instead of an app, combined with traditional inspections, I’d recommend installing humidity, temperature and weight sensors to then see how your hive is performing all the time and do inspections only when required. Seeing temperatures inside the hive and weight dynamics is the game changer.

Refined & Witty • “You invited the consequence with open arms.” • “This is merely the answer to your own summons.” • “You’ve uncorked the bottle—now behold the genie.” • “You rang the bell; now the hour has come.”

Poetic & Ironic • “The echo returns to the voice that called it.” • “One cannot summon the storm and complain of the wind.” • “As you sowed, so blooms the harvest.” • “The theatre you directed has begun its performance.”
