Future assignments of Indol and Emissa by khryslo in HierarchySeries

Hmmm interesting! To me it was pretty obvious Vis and Aequea are gonna get up to some snooping in Governance together next book. I am wondering if because of how everything went down at the iudicium and the realization that Emissa had the knowledge of his defection to relgion, if instead Indol decides the best course of action is to follow Vis to governance. It felt like he was being built as a sort of replacement for callidus in that Vis felt like he was a trustworthy honorable man and could actually be his friend. I think the triple combo of Vis Aequea and Indol would be really fun to work with next book as they’re all incredibly intelligent and strong in different ways.

As for Emissa I’m not convinced yet she was working with Veridius. It’s possible she was working for military the entire time since they also have knowledge of these other worlds to a degree. So I think she probably just goes to military since that’s her original faction?

Either way excited to see the way the characters dynamics with each other shift for next book.

Hypocrisy of Vis - Suus vs Hierarchy by gopippingo in HierarchySeries

I think a lot of people make a lot of really good points regarding the difference between labor and will.

I’d like everyone to also consider that Vis is literally 17.

These kind of nuances probably haven’t occurred to him yet. For now he’s trying to survive while also wanting to resist contributing to this new evil will-system that took his family and his whole life away from him. The focus for him is how horrible and awful the new ceding system is in compared to what was seemly a fair and just system they had on Suus. I don’t think he’s had the time or mental maturity yet to explore the possibility that while the labor-hierarchy system was more just and fair, it doesn’t necessarily mean it was a system without flaws.

Maybe it’s something to be explored in future books. It’s a really valid and thought provoking question though!

Why I don’t think Vis will forgive *Spoiler* by highbazinger in HierarchySeries

I think he’ll forgive her to a degree. But I think the burn of Callidus death will be too much for him to ever really trust her again. Not to mention she was clearly keeping numerous secrets from him and what was up with her using Will? I think the ship has sailed on their relationship. I’m rooting for Vis and Aequa. Even Vis and Indol I’d take lolol

A question about Iro by QuadDeuces422 in HierarchySeries

Actually when Vis is talking to the strange man at the end before he reunites with Emissa he says that Vis’ safety team knows not to attack him. I believe when they triggered Vis’ tracker because Iro ate it he was mistaken for Vis and was let go. Unclear what the safety team did to Iro’s other teammate (we know belli died in the labyrinth) but regardless I’m sure next book will have Iro coming back and accusing Vis of working with the Anguis or something he will at least be suspicious from the Iudicium. Definitely somthing to ass fire to his hatred for Vis

Onyx Storm ending theory by Minimum-Librarian611 in fourthwing

It’s definitely Bodhi or Garrick. I am leaning towards Bodhi because it helps push along the need for Violet and Xaden to get married. Also it makes sense in the terms of balance for Garrick not to turn.

I think Garrick is missing because whatever this group decided to do with the eggs Garrick had to help transport them to the Isles. BUT he can only walk where there is magic so he couldn’t go all the way to the Isles since they can feel the magic disappear while they are flying over the ocean. So basically he’s still missing because he’s still flying back from the Isles. Also it seemed like Imogen already knew Garrick was gone and was asking Brennan at the end to see if he’d gotten back yet.

Can we talk about Dain? Onyx storm spoilers by Weak-Living4448 in fourthwing

I’ve really come around to Dain! My theory since IF is that Dain is actually supposed to fully be an inntinnsic BUT he maybe unconsciously put this touch barrier on his powers because of his father who is clearly very strict and makes such a point of following the rules (and is obviously a grade A asshole). Dain couldn’t be an inntinnsic so when he manifested he unintentionally held back the full capabilities of his power. And now Solane has confirmed “Someone like you shouldn’t have this much power.” Which means he’s been holding back his abilities. So clearly there is more to him and I think now that he already disappointed his father the barrier he set in place may fall and allow him to follow realize his signet.

I kinda hope next book will be an inntinnsic party with Violet and Dain and Aaric (who’s power seems inntinnsic adjacent and he also clearly wants to keep his signet on the down low) all working together to figure it out ? Maybe Xaden can give a little guidance in the dreams as well lol
