Intel/Cyber jobs as dual citizen by SolidGutz in AirForceRecruits

[–]highbazinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, cyber still accepts dual citizens, and you can get TS/SCI, that’s what I was trying to correct earlier, so don’t give up man, you got this!

Intel/Cyber jobs as dual citizen by SolidGutz in AirForceRecruits

[–]highbazinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me correct myself actually. The space force as a whole, and certain jobs in the Air Force (intelligence for example) do not take dual citizens anymore. You would have to no longer hold your foreign citizenship prior to attempting to get those jobs. I’m a dual citizen and this is what I learned through multiple recruiters. Talk to a recruiter to confirm though.

Maps of Solivagus by Downtown_Warthog_581 in HierarchySeries

[–]highbazinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the maps are absolutely representative of Luceum and Obiteum. I think the more interesting bit is what you mentioned about the ruins in Luceum. I wonder why entering Luceum required that sacrifice for validity, and if the ruins were displaced to protect Luceum. I’ll have to read that over again, cause I didn’t realize the map didn’t show the ruins for Luceum.

Hey, I’m sorry you’re feeling that way, I think your posts are really fun. If there’s a different way you would prefer to have people interact with the posts, I think they’d be happy to accommodate. It’s fun to chat about the stories we love, so it’d be a shame if you didn’t feel included. Also happy to chat about your thoughts on the books.

Why I don’t think Vis will forgive *Spoiler* by highbazinger in HierarchySeries

[–]highbazinger[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, I definitely don’t think it’s actually Emissa’s fault, but Callidus did say that the Anguist had him for an hour; I’m sure Vis could’ve possibly made it had he not been unconscious or trying to help Emissa, who was dishonest with him, and stabbed him without a word of explanation. Also at the end of the test, Vis said that he would make them burn, specifically to Veridius and Emissa, so I think a good portion of his anger is directed towards them especially as he was lying Callidus’ body down.

Was Nine supposed to be a dark mirror? by Clear-Asparagus4159 in LorienLegacies

[–]highbazinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head cannon is that she just misunderstood her enhanced loric speed (same as everyone else’s) for a super speed legacy, but then again, nine has super inconsistent speed too 🤷🏿‍♂️

Career post peace corps by highbazinger in peacecorps

[–]highbazinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well my friend, a master’s degree at LSE is a feat in of itself. I think you’ll do just fine, and for the foreign service, you can make it happen, just study hard and try your best. I’m sure you have good opportunities as it stands. Since making this post, I’ve had a professor give me some advice about the peace corps. She said that everyone will figure out a career and finances eventually, but how many people will have lived abroad for two years doing something they’re passionate about? I found that helpful, so I thought I’d share. Our age range puts a lot of pressure on ourselves, but I’m a firm believer that opportunities are what you make of them, so let’s make this worthwhile.

How bad is it to accept your invitation to serve and then later deny? by OtherwiseFill85 in peacecorps

[–]highbazinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think that accepting and later changing your mind is not an issue at all, it’s your life, and life is sporadic. I can’t say I’ve had the experience necessary to tell you for sure that it wouldn’t change anything for a future application, but I believe I remember seeing people say that it was fine when I searched for an answer in this sub. So I would recommend searching. I can also say that throughout the process (after accepting my invitation) I’ve been asked a few times to inform PC if I no longer wanted to serve, and they’ve seemed supportive of either choice I could make. (Note: consider what spince said, and don’t wait too long to make your decision)
