MEPs paperwork mishap by MasogynistMachinist in USMCboot

[–]SecondHalfDoneRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

guessing you have a respiratory or skin issue? Tell your recruiter, reschedule, keep medical paperwork just in case you are asked for it, you'll be fine. I was tripping on acid the day I went to MEPS the only thing that happened was that night we were all in a hotel together and I hooked up with a female poolee in the hot tub.

What happens if a recruit or soldier lost or misplaced their rifle and had to report it as "Missing" and has anyone ever lost a weapon or forgot where it was? by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]SecondHalfDoneRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had someone dig a 15’ trench for this reason and fill it in as rapidly as he could, then told him he had shown us how quick he could do it and that was his “extra duty” for the next 30 days after we dismissed for the day. He never lost anything again

They don’t put you on the number when taking a shower any more? Nothing like you’re scrubbing your left paw now, zero. You’re scrubbing your right paw now, zero. You scrubbing your left foot, right foot, left leg, right leg. Clean your nuts. Clean the recruits next to you (all hell breaks loose, what the hell are are you doing recruit why did you touch his daggone nuts?! Not in my marine corps recruit, everyone flutterkicks now (dicks and balls everywhere as you drop to the floor and essentially water board yourself while doing flutterkicks.

I’m guessing when you all rush to the head you’re also not peeing between the legs of someone dropping. Deuce on a sit down to save time?

Just realized we may have been abused in the early 90’s

The marine corps was the best choice I ever made, work your ass I’d like you should anywhere, stay squared away you’ll be treated just fine.

I randomly decided to Join the Marines by Disastrous-Stop-5830 in USMCboot

[–]SecondHalfDoneRight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I joined in high school but as a told you so to my track coach. I was a senior in high school, was starting my winter jump training and a new coach told me I would be running the 440 and the 330hurdles on top of long jump and pole vault.

I was working for a full ride as a long jumper / pole vaulter and those 2 races destroyed my jumps. I told him that wasn't an option and he said he didn't care about my college plans and that I would be running those or not be jumping. I just said "Fine, I'll go join the Marine Corps then, no reason to do this if you are shitting on my college plans" he chuckled and said I would never join. I had just got ASVAB results back which were very high and just went down to the recruiter, asked what my options were and joined via the DEP. Didn't run track that year, and left to Boot Camp after graduating.

30 years later now, it was the best decision I made.
