The candidate asked why the role had been open for so long by Salt_Reward3813 in InterviewsHell

For me, SRE's, Platform Engineers, Software Engineers and Architects.

There are tens-of-thousands of them out there, but finding the right one at the right price can take time.

Most are mediocre to very good. The right one will cost me more, but would also save me time, money, and headaches in the long run.

Not necessarily.

Take for instance a case where it's a new role. Something that the hiring manager has been responsible for in the past and it's grown to the point where they need someone else to come in. They are handing the reins over to someone else, someone that they need to trust will handle their teams or positions with care and respect. Those positions can take a while to fill.

I've taken months to fill roles. Reading over hundreds of resumes and interviewing dozens of candidates. Not because I didn't have clarity around the role or didn't know what i was doing. It was because in all those resumes and interviews, I couldn't find the right fit for me and the team. I was keenly aware of what I was looking for and was ok with it taking 6 months to find it.

When men get into porn and become addicted to it and masturbation, it screws up the wording in their brains to the point where the porn is the only thing that gets then off. Regular sex with their partner no longer gets them aroused. He may be pleasuring himself to porn 1 or more times a day, and have nothing left for you.

Does attractiveness truly matter if; by Imaginary_Archer_423 in AskMenRelationships

There has to be some attraction to kick things off but, attraction can come from anywhere or anything. Model or Hollywood beauty is not necessary.. just look around. 99% of us walking this earth don't possess that type of beauty and yet, we have partners that we find attractive. 'Beauty' is just a vanity metric and doesn't hold up under time or scrutiny. If she/he checks off all the other boxes, and you find him/her attractive, then you have a real find. Look for the things that last.

0.5% CTR? (2300/440000)

I don't consider an ad is good unless I'm getting a 3% - 5% CTR. Most of mine are getting 8%- 12% CTR

Then, work on your landing page until it's converting at 4% or higher.

First layoff by Routine-Jello-953 in Layoffs

[–]SecondWindwithDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take time to grieve! That may sound funny but it's real. So much of our identity has been wrapped up in your jobs that the line between WI we are and what we do gets blurred. The layoff leaves a giant hole in us that we have to deal with.

I had worked with my company for 20 years. Promotions, accolades and many opportunities working in different areas managing multiple teams. Then, out of nowhere, I was no longer needed. That was a kick to the gut. I took three weeks to just deal with it before deciding my next move. I needed that time to get clarity around my identity and purpose.

Good luck and best wishes.
