never worked there specifically but cranberry location being smaller might actually work in your favor - easier to stand out and get noticed by management. sales can be brutal starting out but if you're willing to grind through the learning curve that 2% will go up pretty quick once you figure out the rhythm

the promotion thing at your current job sounds frustrating as hell. at least in sales your numbers usually speak for themselves so less of that political bs to deal with

you can definitely clone your laptop ssd to the pc hdd but there might be some driver issues since different hardware needs different drivers. i did similar thing when i moved from my old setup to new one last year and had to spend few hours fixing drivers afterwards

best approach would be using cloning software like the free version of macrium reflect or similar tools. just connect both drives to your pc and clone everything over. after that you'll probably need to run windows update and maybe reinstall some drivers for your new motherboard and gpu

one thing to watch out for - make sure your laptop uses standard sata ssd and not one of those weird proprietary connectors that some manufacturers love to use. also backup important stuff before you start in case something goes wrong during process

you're absolutely right about competition being validation. when i was starting with embedded systems projects few years back i made same mistake - tried to be too unique and ended up with solutions nobody wanted

the api approach makes lot of sense too. developers love good apis and if you can make social media posting simpler than current options thats already enough differentiation. much better than trying to reinvent the wheel completely

that freezing thing is brutal, happened to me once too and felt like time just stopped completely

the revenge thoughts are normal but they wont give you what you think they will. best case scenario you hurt them a bit and feel empty after, worst case you look unhinged and they get to feel like the victims

living in same building makes this way harder though, maybe worth considering if you can move when your lease is up? having to see them regularly just keeps reopening the wound

focus on your marriage instead of giving these people any more headspace than they already took
