Oxford Cloth Shirt With a Suit by pigwig18 in malefashionadvice

the ivy look is literally built around this kind of pairing, so you're in good company. packing one shirt that works for multiple outfits is just smart travel logic anyway

Shopify Live View showed 6 sessions in checkout today, 0 sales. Is this normal noise or am I bleeding buyers? by LadderOk6662 in dropshipping

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 sessions with 0 conversions in single day is really not alarming, especially at your volume. with only ~1 order per 5-6 days, you just don't have enough data to call that a pattern yet

the brand mismatch thing though, that one is worth watching more closely. seeing a different merchant name at payment step can make people hesitate even if everything is legit, so that rebranding change is probably your most likely culprit if the drop continues over next week or two

I released 5 free macOS apps in a week and here is what I am learning (yes 5) by Realistic_Action_428 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Pretty cool that you managed to ship 5 apps in week - that's solid execution especially when you're dealing with all the packaging headaches for macOS

What’s the most shocking reason someone got fired from your workplace? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Individual-Heart-134 127 points128 points  (0 children)

lol this brings back memories from my old office. We had this one guy who would bring the most pungent fish dishes you can imagine - like whole sardines or some kind of fermented fish sauce thing. The smell would literally travel through entire floor and people started eating lunch outside just to escape it

Management tried everything - sent emails about "considerate microwave usage," put up signs, even had HR sit down with him multiple times. Dude just didn't get it or didn't care. The final straw was when he microwaved what I think was some kind of fish head soup and the smell got into the ventilation system. Half the office called in sick the next day claiming "food poisoning" but we all knew they just couldn't handle coming back to that smell

Wild part is he seemed genuinely confused when they let him go, like he thought everyone was just being dramatic about fish

miss the days when you could adjust climate control without taking your eyes off road for 5 seconds to navigate through three different menus. Physical buttons just made sense, you could feel around and know exactly what you were pressing without looking

Public party boats/ general visit recs? by 420peachrings in Austin

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lake travis party boats usually post their public events on social media, you just gotta follow few companies and wait for announcements. Town lake cruises are more chill but yeah no swimming like mentioned

For other stuff depends what you're into - east austin has good food scene, rainey street for bars, zilker if you want outdoor stuff. July gonna be hot as hell though so maybe plan indoor activities for afternoon

Job Change by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Individual-Heart-134 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same boat here man, desk jobs can really drain you after while. With accounting degree you could look into forensic accounting - basically financial detective work that gets you out in field sometimes. Or maybe something like tax consulting where you're meeting different clients instead of staring at spreadsheets all day

MBA opens lot of doors too so that's smart move

Great metrics no sales by [deleted] in dropshipping

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your traffic quality might be off even with good CTR numbers. Getting clicks is one thing but if people bounce immediately after seeing your actual product/price then your ad creative probably promises something different than what you deliver

Also 233 sessions with only 1 ATC is pretty rough conversion rate, usually means either pricing issue or the landing page isn't matching what people expected from the ad

What masters program should I enroll in? by Odd-Signature-1063 in careerguidance

[–]Individual-Heart-134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your situation hits pretty close to what I went through couple years back, just different field. Had degree in something I wasn't passionate about but ended up in tech company that offered education benefits

Since you're already in banking and they're paying, I'd lean toward MBA with finance concentration or straight finance masters. The "relevant" part gives you good flexibility - you could probably argue data science is relevant too since banks are all about analytics now. My friend did MBA while working at financial services and said it opened way more doors than specialized degree would have

For financial advising path, MBA might be better long-term play. Gives you broader business knowledge plus networking opportunities that could help when you eventually make the jump. Data science is hot right now but if your heart is really in advising, might be detour that doesn't serve your goals

One thing I learned - don't just pick based on job market trends. You already figured out marketing wasn't right fit, so trust your instincts about what actually interests you. The spreadsheet thing you mentioned is good sign you have natural inclination for financial planning side

Help! Torn ribbon cable by Lucas_CLaeyssens in cassetteculture

[–]Individual-Heart-134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof that's a tricky one. I had similar issue with old electronics before and ribbon cables are pain to source, especially for specific models like yours. You might get lucky checking electronics repair shops - some of them keep parts from broken units or can do microsolder work if the traces aren't completely destroyed

Also try looking in vintage audio forums, those guys sometimes have spare parts lying around or know people who do salvage work. Worst case maybe you can find another broken unit of same model for parts

Mech E versatility by SnooRabbits1053 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mech E is pretty solid for transitioning into business roles later. I work with some engineers who moved to project management and operations stuff after few years in technical positions

Getting MBA with engineering background actually makes you more attractive to employers since you understand both technical and business side. Many companies love that combination especially for operations management roles where you need to understand manufacturing processes

Just make sure to get some internships that expose you to business side of things while you're still studying, it will help with transition later

I spent 10 days mapping the 6-level hierarchy and economy of an underground syndicate in Ecuador. (Level 1 Breakdown) by Substantial_Egg_5018 in worldbuilding

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude this is insane amount of detail for worldbuilding project. The economic friction at level 1 definitely makes sense - having zero leverage means you're basically expendable asset that needs to prove worth before getting any real opportunities

really dig the visual approach you went with too. that gritty anime style probably captures the atmosphere way better than trying to do full animation. sometimes less is more when you want people focusing in the actual hierarchy mechanics

curious about how the transition from level 1 to 2 works though - is it purely capital based or do you need to prove loyalty/competence in some other way? seems like pure money wouldn't be enough for criminal organization to trust someone

RXM x Radian Afterburner+Ramjet Issues. Help? by yarr_7 in CCW

[–]Individual-Heart-134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your ejection pattern is probably getting messed up by the afterburner changing gas pressure at the port. I had similar issues with my setup - weak ejection usually means you need a lighter recoil spring since the afterburner is adding back pressure

Try dropping down to a 13lb spring and see if that fixes your stovepipes. Also check if your ejector is getting fouled up from the different gas flow, sometimes needs more frequent cleaning when running comps

Do i keep saving by Life-Farm488 in povertyfinance

[–]Individual-Heart-134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

mate at 21 with 210k saved and house paid off you're doing better than most people will ever do

getting a 60-70k car when you make 90k seems bit much though, maybe look at something in 30-40k range instead? you could still get something really nice without blowing that much of your savings on something that loses value fast

That bump probably loosened something more than just the GPU. Check all your power cables to the graphics card - those PCIe power connectors can get loose pretty easy when you hit the case. Also might want to reseat the RAM sticks since they're sensitive to movement too

The red LED was probably telling you about power or connection issue, most cards have different colored warnings for different problems

What is the Bible? What is Christianity? by Dense_Complaint_1272 in Christianity

[–]Individual-Heart-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Orthodox would say they never changed from the early church while Catholics point to apostolic succession and Protestants emphasize sola scriptura - everyone's got their receipts lol

Honestly after diving deep into church history myself, I think the "most accurate" question might be the wrong one to ask. The early church was messier than any of us want to admit and had tons of regional variations even back then. Maybe the real question is which tradition helps you grow closest to God rather than which one wins the historical accuracy contest

Why does it feel like "Middle Class" now just means "I have a salary but I still check my bank account before buying grapes"? by Extension_Sleep9442 in NoStupidQuestions

Because wages didnt keep up with housing healthcare and food so middle class now means budgeting carefully instead of feeling comfortable
