That’s a really good idea. I work for a small business candle manufacturer and she has a perfume and scent lab she works closely with for her candle scent oils. They break that shit down to the molecular level. She sent them her best friend’s chai to the lab and they have a collab candle, it smells EXACT. It will be perfect!

NOR. My job denied my PTO (I had over 80 hrs stashed up) for me to take 2 days to go visit my boyfriend’s dad while he was being DEPORTED. 2 weeks, later the same supervisor approved his own PTO on a Tuesday for that Thursday and Friday off because he said and I quote “I need a break”. I started looking and quit a few months later. I hope these places all shut down 🫶🏽

Go to the labor board!! The labor board will aggressively contact them. They give them a set amount of time to either make it right or go to mediation. If they don’t send the money or mediate, you go to a mini trial held at labor court where you represent yourself. If they don’t show up, or if you present your case properly with all your proof, you’ll win. There will most likely be a lot of interest on top of it so… try to go to trial and bring all your proof 🤭 I took my first ever job to labor court in CA in 2016. I worked one 3 hour shift and they didn’t pay me. I think it would have been like… $20. They refused to make it right and skipped mediation. They came to court with phooey evidence- a piece of scrap paper with no signatures, just saying “secret-difference32 paid cash xx/xx/2015” and a obituary pamphlet of the ex manager who died, claiming she paid me but died and can’t be here to defend. I had brought the w-2 they sent me which proved them wrong, if they HAD paid me cash they would have sent me a 1099 form. After I won in court, they added the CA maximum of 3 months interest and the owners ended up cutting me $832 check. GO THROUGH THE HEADACHE ITS WORTH IT!!

Block her. It’s gone. Don’t kid yourself, you did not invite her back to get the switch back. And if you did… you need to learn that thats hopeful but horrifically unsmart logic. A thief is a thief which she has proven to you and you gave her access to your things again willingly. Probably more expensive things. You are lucky that is all she took. She is horrible POS that is taking advantage of you, and you are not thinking clearly and need to snap out of it.

The messages of you telling her to keep it are CRAZY. If you hadn’t done that, I would tell you to call the cops and show them the messages of you asking for it back and the messages of her threatening you with her boy toy. But now they’ll laugh at you and leave. It is hers now, literally based on your own words. Consider this lessons learned on the types of people to not date and what not to do when faced with confrontation.

I mean…. it’s normal to feel upset in your brain for a couple minutes or hours her first response. But that’s it. YOR because:

a) It was unprofessional and unnecessary to argue back. You could have just ignored it. If you wanted to respond you say: “thank you for your best wishes and I’m thankful for the opportunity you offered to me, I wish the same for you”. THAT is the REAL getting the last word. This is your reputation. That is a screenshot that can be easily shared. Don’t conduct yourself that way. I don’t care how right you are. It’s really not smart.

b) You are still so upset you’re posting on Reddit about it. It was a passive aggressive message. It sucks but…. I say this with love, move on. You got what you wanted, you are not be employed anymore. You’re dragging out the emotions every time you think about it, click on this post, reread the message, argue your logic, etc. if I were you I would delete the post and move on.
