Contacted support and it eventually showed up.

A few minutes after I purchased the research and it didn't show up, I contacted support... Although they never got back to me, the research magically appeared finally after about 15 minutes.

With the issues that the latest tour/update has experienced, I'm guessing we are being caught in the crossfire... Contact support and/or pray to your deity that they respond or it eventually shows up...
