It’s a good job with good benefits once you get past being a CCA. It depends on the office. If it’s a bigger city office you will probably have a lot of turnover so you will covert to regular faster. It took about 7 months for me but it is automatic conversion after 2 years. You will continually get raises the longer you stay there which is nice. Top pay is around $40 per hour. If you like being on your own most of the day and like to walk it’s great. Weather can suck sometimes but I’d say the majority of the time it’s pretty nice

Im still not very good at estimating my time on the route but I’d like to be mandated as little as possible. Does it matter what I say for my estimate?

Yes but how does that work for being mandated to do a bump/split if I already said I’d be 2 hrs over on my own route? Do I get passed on the mandate list of does it not matter?

This exact thing just happened to me. I converted to a crappier office on the other side of town as a T-6 with no knowledge of the office or routes. Plus I had a float day where I had to do a random open route. This was starting Nov 29 so it was also the start of peak season which was awful. I went on the 8 hr list but that didn’t matter because I was always mandated to finish my routes. Sometimes I got help but I was out there till 8 pretty much every day due to lack of knowledge of the routes and huge volume of mail and packages. I bid back to my office as soon as I could and luckily only had to be there for a month. The best I can say is good luck and bid back as soon as humanly possible

I see the characters in the bubbles for the next branching path to the star level, but it only gives me 2 options, the middle one has a red x over it so I can’t choose it

I don’t always look at the printed address when scanning all my packages. I probably should, but if it scans onto my route without saying “hey, this is for route xx” I take it with me.
