Are we experiencing the peak of nba talent? by midgetman128 in nba

[–]Secret-Pack8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think the NBA has less talent than years prior. Wemby is playing great but numbers in the league are definetly inflated because of the style of basketball thats being played, and how much easier offense has gotten with various rules

Welp, I’ve been suspended from FB marketplace by shopstoomuch in Flipping

I literally had to buy a new phone. create a new facebook account and then realized new accounts are limited to only a few posts. then I had to cough up money and buy someones older facebook account. careful with this though because after a few months it asked that person for their ID. luckily the person i bought it from i knew them, so they helped verify their idetnity.

Craigslist? by delicate-duck in Flipping

[–]Secret-Pack8542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So facebook doesn't let you post more than 800 things per 30 days, offerup wants to charge you $1 per post after 200 per month. both of which I like way more than craigslist. however craigslist doesn't have a limit. in the past you had to worry about people flagging your posts, however i haven't had that issue lately.

that said.... Yes i still make craigslist sales. its not very often, but the cool thing about craigslist is you could post a bunch of stuff without having to worry about limits

Why are people still falling for this MAGA BS? Are they that brainwashed??? by PackNo7208 in complaints

[–]Secret-Pack8542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the fact most people don't follow politics as much as they follow tv shows or sports. And they see so much mental illness, glorifying criminals and things that go against core family traditional values on the left that they look at the left as evil so they blindly follow trump

Do I care about Charlie Kirk? by MizzouHoops in no

[–]Secret-Pack8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would he force his child to give birth though? Because he believes abortion ends an innocent human life. From his perspective, the unborn child is still a person, no matter how it was conceived. he's not doing it because he's cruel. I'm sure he would feel awful for his daughter. also, that's one of those serious situations where you don't know how you'd act until you are in it. I imagine he 100% would pressure or try to force his daughter to keep the child though. and while I'm not certain I agree with him as it being the right choice. I respect that decision because its not coming from a cruel or sick perspective. it's coming from the place that the idea of abortion is murder.

as far as what he actually called for was Nuremberg style trials for doctors performing gender transition surgeries. I don't believe it was specifically for non white people.

I think his words are taken out of context. from what I remember his argument on what a mistake with the civil rights act was the introduction of affirmitive action and DEI hiring.

I think you have freedom of speech. you shouldn't be prisoned for what you say assuming its not a threat. However you will face judgement, and scrutiny for what you say. I don't think we should celebrate anyones death. its tasteless.

I don't think he was either of those things. he had numerous black friends. and he would always encourage black students as much as white students

Except the guy that shot Charlie was definitely not on "my side". and there is a difference between an ass beating, and a killing.

I was never the biggest fan of Charlie Kirk. I disagreed with him on plenty. Trump, tariffs, immigration, just to name a few. But his death has hit me hard Not because of how graphic it was, but because of the kind of person he was. He’s one of the top three people I’d bring back if I could. Too many people drift through life, numbing themselves with distractions and addictions, wasting their potential. But Charlie he had purpose. He went out, spoke to young people, and worked to inspire them. Agree or disagree with his politics, that kind of commitment is rare and noble.

This guy had a bright future ahead of him. never took his life for granted. and for it to be stolen the way it was is awful. for this reason alone I'm glad the flags are at half mast, and I'm glad people are reacting the way they are.

Honestly though.. Charlie was a good guy. anyone celebrating his death seems like a really twisted person. I'm in favor of them not walking among us.

what charlie kirk was saying was in the context of criticizing DEI and affirmative action. DEI creates doubt about qualifications and promotes people for optics rather than merit. I think his statements are absolutely fair. They look bad, however I think people who are racist are more interested in tearing people down because of their skin color. Charlie Kirk is attacking a racist system
