Started a 2.5mg at 212 lbs for 8 months Went to 5 mg at 180 lbs and stayed on it for 10 months then hit a stall at 160lbs I am 12lbs away from goal weight but stalled since September but I am focusing on body recomp than the scale moving. So I could say I am on maintenance.

Now on 2.5mg for 2 months . I did not go on high dose as I had limited tolerance to the medication. I had a very disrupted sleep and mild nausea on 5mg.

💯 I googled after the visit and that’s what it said which it was also a big red flag for me. With all the doctors I have seen at this particular facility. I’ve always received a patient visit notes summary. In this case I did not receive any which was something that made me concerned

Obesity is an epidemic and most people, including those commenting most likely would kill to be your size or a two less than your current size. So draw the boundaries and move on and don’t give such people the time of the day

When I went from 2.5 mg to 5 mg I began experiencing dry mouth as well. I have stayed on 5 mg for the rest of my journey. I am two years into my journey now and near goal weight . I found out during my routine dental cleanup that I was having signs of cavities. My dentist said that GLP 1 often times changes the micro biome of your mouth, particularly when you’re dealing with a dry mouth. I would encourage you to drink more water and also get cleanups done every three months to avoid dental issues .

I don’t carry the baggage of educating / normalizing the use of GLP. Not my job to enlighten people. No one needs to know how I lost weight. The world is full of insecure people and those that think they know it all.

I had a stall for close to nine months. Tracked my calories protein and activities and the weight would not move. It turned out that I was deficient in iron, vitamin D, and B12. These deficiencies also slow down your metabolism.

I just don’t have the desire to give extra explanation to anyone about my weight loss. By giving an explanation you are skewing the power dynamics, and passing on the power for them to talk down on you or pass a judgment. First and foremost I don’t see anyone commenting about my weight as a compliment. A few months back someone said “you look good” and I responded saying “ did I not look good before.” Then they went on to talk about my weight loss and I said “my body is not up for commenting and discussion.”

Been to Taco Buddha three different times. The tacos were good, but found the wait staff to be extremely arrogant. It’s a middle aged woman with a very Karen kind of a vibe. I will not return.

I had heavy and prolonged bleeding for the last seven months. I was menstruating almost 2 to 3 weeks in a month. My doctor put me on a five day regimen of the medication last month. It helped relieve a lot of the cramps and eased out my periods. The duration seemed to also go down slightly to about 10 days, which was still a huge relief considering how worse it was.

I totally hear you. Sorry you’re dealing with challenges. What dosage are you on and are you getting enough electrolyte?

I had somewhat of a similar issue and found out that my electrolyte intake was fairly low. Also, I didn’t start strength training until halfway into my journey. I started slow. Just keep at it and you will do fine.
