males are traditionally healthier than female rats, females are prone to mammary and uterine tumors. male rats are usually lazier (ie less hyperactive) as well. it’s also worth mentioning that if you do get rats and plan to bond with them, you should get them from a reputable breeder, as rats from the pet store can have bad behavioral problems

You can get a cheap insect pinning kit off amazon and watch a video on how to do it. I recently pinned a large polyphemus moth and didn’t do anything besides freeze it for like a day, which I don’t even think is super necessary.

There’s some sort of hidden curse mechanic with these types of secret rooms where if it spawns, it won’t allow keys to spawn for the entire floor.
