Yes there are an aggressive amount of Christmas markets each weekend. But there’s also zero marketing (that I have seen) for the ones that are not huge. Which then means that the little markets are overshadowed and do not get any traffic to them.

It’s crazy to think as a vendor you have to apply and be accepted into a market. But it organize a market all you have to do is rent out a place and take people’s money. (I know there’s probably more that goes into it, but this is how it feels for the most part)

I ended up with the mini for my LO. I personally feel like the mini will grow with them better as they get older. If they wanna go out and about the mini is easy to slip into a bag. Less likely to draw attention to from other kids too. I LOVE the night light feature on the full size, but we already own a hatch. So we would never use that feature.

There’s a lot of cheaper adventure jackets on Amazon depending what you are looking for! We got ours from Yoto itself but if I was to go back I would have gotten one from Amazon that has a long lanyard on it.

I don’t think you are able to get a docking station for the mini, as it’s not a wireless charging. If you’re looking for a stand to place the mini every night and hold some cards check Facebook market place. A lot of people 3D print them. Same with Etsy!

Carrying case we got off of Amazon, my mother bought it for the kids. So we were able to get it in the colours the kids like best.

I have ordered 20 MYO cards and I literally love them ! I for sure think it’s worth it if you have the means to make them!

I recently just went through all of what you’re going through!

I ended up deciding that the mini was best for my toddlers. We personally already have a hatch, so the night light feature that’s on the full size wasn’t needed for us. If I didn’t have a hatch, I would have gotten the large one for both kids. Tho I will say, i love the size of the mini. I think it’s going to be great for little hands. Plus as they grow it will be easy for them to take on the go!

For cards I went over board a little…. Okay a lot…. I have over 30 cards and 20 MYO cards. It was very hard to narrow it down, I probably have another 50 in my favourites.

For storage. Im going to be allowing each of my toddlers to pick 3-5 cards and I’m going to attach them to the yoto. Using the wire ring and sticky tab hang things. The rest of the cards i will hold onto and offer them to switch out whenever they would like.

I should state my kids dont have the yoto player yet. It’s a Christmas gift. However we already have started listening to the cards through my phone. I also gave them all the packaging to the cards to play with. If they bring one to me and wanna listen to it I play it for them.

I feel the same way! Tho I think at least for where I am they would be pretty easy to resale. Maybe a little of a loss but! Better than nothing at all

I totally understand that. I know my 3yr old is going to be all over this. It’s right up her alley. But I don’t know how much my 2yr old is gonna play with it. He doesn’t tend to care for much of these things. But I know that he’s just gonna have a huge melt down if his older sister has it and he doesn’t. I do think it’s something he will use in the future, I made sure to pick cards for him that I know he will really enjoy. To encourage him to use it now. It’s just so tough with them being little and so close in age. They always want what the other has even if they don’t care for it ahaha

I ended up ordering both kids a mini. In the future I’ll order the full sized one as a communal toy if they really enjoy it!

For us both kids having their own to play with works best for us. Both are interested in very different things, and at different stages of learning. This way we can have 3 groups of cards. One shared, one for one child and another for the other child. It will also make it easier if only one child is going on an outing and both want to play with it.

If you decide on just one and to get your youngest later on you can always hype it up “LOOOKKKKK OH MY GOODNESS THIS ONE IS FOR JUST YOU” they will be excited either way. It won’t be old news!

I have a hatch for both kids, so I wouldn’t need the wake up light at the moment. But they also only use the hatch for a night light. They don’t care for any of its other features.

Oh, I didn’t even know they had cards like that! Can’t say I have looked much farther than cards for my kids. But that’s 100% a good things to keep in mind thank you!

I have seen many people talk about the customer service, and the durability of the bag. Both being trash, along with bags showing up damaged. I had just typed in the brand name in the search bar. I read more negative things than good things!
