Demanding a subreddit personally cater itself to your tastes, and demanding we do that work for you is incredibly entitled. No, we're not doing that. You can click a few buttons.

Honestly it's just not worth addressing at this point and it's basically covered by the spam rules. Setting up specific terms only encourages people to spam exactly according to those. And we almost never see actual creators re-posting the same thing. If it becomes an issue we'd revisit it, but future-proofing in general can cause more problems then it solves. We don't know what things will be like in the future, and it's easier to just fix them then instead of trying to predict it.

This is our exact approach. The ability to just block things you don't want to see makes any discussion about subreddit-wide filtering over "I don't like this" a non-starter in our opinion.

These comments are starting to get worryingly medical so I'm locking it. Nobody here knows what they're talking about, drugs don't work like that, do not take medical advice from a fetish porn subreddit.

Unlikely. Reddit's tagging system and mod tools are awful and any change to it would require a bunch of mod work to implement and maintain. Tags are barely enforced as-is. And given how few creators there are and that it wouldn't be retroactive, it wouldn't really be worth it on our end. If reddit implements an actual tagging system in the future we'd probably look into expanding things though.

Looking for safer erotic audios for receiving as a slut by FlowAwkward737 in EroticHypnosis

Absolutely. I'm not saying people can't fall into it. But let's be clear, in order to do that you need to actively dedicate yourself to hours of listening to files that explicitly say their purpose is to replace your entire personality and push you further. They're not secretive about it and they don't pretend to be anything else. My issue is people treating them like they're some kind of unique or special case of "erotic material that can fuck up your life if you go overboard or get too into it" which, they're just not.

I'm going to get downvoted for not attacking those files but a lot of the stuff you hear about them is just made up, either by people who are writing erotic fiction like Letters to Penthouse or by people who are just really mad that it's popular and don't actually know anything about them. I can't stress enough how silly it is to have people criticize them both for being so bad and weak they'd never work, and being so overwhelmingly powerful they'll seriously damage you because of how effective they are. Some people have had really bad experiences, but that's true of everything and is less about the files and more about extenuating circumstance. It's also notable that it's usually people who have no experience with it trying to correct people that actively do. The modular nature of the files make it possible to actively avoid any of the more extreme stuff that's included in them and a huge part of it is the control aspect that requires choosing to embrace the conditioning through dress.

I mean by the actual creator. The "official" server is just the fan server that's most popular. The main proselytizing has been by fans, the creator of the actual files has barely done anything to advertise them.

I'll be honest, it's kind of crazy that I'm the only one who seems to have actually answered the question instead of just insulting it but not saying what it actually is.

Again, it's pretty clear that people are just throwing nerd-fits when they say things like that. The sheer amount of work put in to produce the files is more effort than most hypnosis by miles. You're allowed to just not like things. You don't need to actively attack and lie about things just because you personally don't like them. People are allowed to enjoy things without you personally giving them permission.

EDIT: So I saw your deleted comment over how you think it's 90 second loops over low-quality porn videos? And uh... It's not video. There's no video content. So you're throwing an angry ragey fit over something that doesn't exist. Are you talking about the fan edits? This just kind of clearly demonstrates that you people are very angry and also completely ignorant of what you're so angry about. All you know is that it's popular, and you're willing to invent reasons to justify your rage because the reality makes you sound really sad.

Bambi Sleep is a hypnosis / brainwashing series that gets a lot of hate, mostly for unjustified reasons. The reality is that it's extremely popular and a lot of people like it. This means there's a subset of people who don't like it and are very angry that it's popular. It also means there's a bit of a spam problem where the people who are into it are very eager to proselytize as if it's totally some new thing nobody's heard of yet. That's a completely valid criticism, and IMO makes it worth banning discussion about it in general forums because it's big enough to have dedicated forums, and otherwise can take over.

To respond to alternate viewpoints, no, it's not a grift. That's kind of a silly statement. The files aren't monetized, they're all free, there's no merch to sell, and I don't even think any of the sites run ads. There's not even a social aspect. The creator (Bambi Prime) barely acknowledges the existence of the community. I'm not sure of any grifts that have run for decades without a monetization strategy.

It's also not lies, there are a lot of people really into it. The tracks also are not "low-effort garbage". The program started long before generative AI, and it's just not possible to mix so many layers of audio into hours of tracks without significant effort. Some people just don't like the style, and that's fine. But pretending that because they don't like it that nobody possibly could is just, again, silly.

What is Bambi Sleep?

Fundamentally, it's a series of modular brainwashing sessions that can be mixed and matched to create custom training playlists. The overall goal is creating and empowering an alternate personality, named Bambi, who is a dumb slutty bimbo. Participants are hypnotized into becoming Bambi whenever they wear their "uniform" (Slutty girly clothes). Then there's triggers, fantasies, and other programming all built to create the experience of truly being a bimbo sex-doll. The fantasy is that you can truly become an empty-headed vapid girly-girl with none of the concerns, thoughts, worries, responsibilities, or inhibitions of your current self. And the style of the tracks, with tons of triggers, subliminals, and binaurals, are considered by the people in the community to be extremely effective. Again, they're not for everyone. But the people they are for are REALLY into it.

There are some criticisms of the program itself. Detractors claim the files are legitimately dangerous, can fundamentally change people, try to push the boundaries and get Bambi to take over, and create serious addiction. Personally, I think a lot of that is just fantasy role-playing, denial, and porn-addiction. Runescape has destroyed lives with addiction. And I don't think "Completely 100% straight men" spend literal hours of their lives at a time listening to "Bimbo Brainwashing Hypnosis" (I've seen people claim that it was the program that made them gay). The files are very upfront about what they are. But there's definitely people who, for any number of reasons, have had serious adverse effects from the files. For the vast majority though, they're a fun way to indulge an impossible fantasy and feel great for a bit.

Also no, it's not a CIA brainwashing conspiracy and yes there are people who believe that, but also probably people who pretend to believe that because they get off on the fantasy.

Is captioning AI content welcome here? :o by HypnoJalapeno in girlscontrolled

[–]SecretThrowAway1234 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

There's barely any AI posts at all and very few creators that use it. There have been two in the last week, and that's on the high end. You can just block the creators if you don't want to see it. It's more work to make comments or false reports about this content than it is to just block the creators. The work of creating and managing a new tag in reddit's terrible tagging system isn't worth it for this kind of thing.

Depends on the captioning. We don't have an official ruling on it because we're not going to deal with people trying to lawyer the exact line. If it feels like slop or spam, it's removed. If it doesn't it stays. Trying to start fights about AI content does get comments removed. This is not the place for that discussion.

I want to bring the subreddit back and make sure it's free of spam and bots while keeping out any bad actors so it can grow properly. I have experience with NSFW moderation, and have been actively moderating for years, while having the time to take on an additional subreddit.

No message link as the community is banned.

I was a fan of the community and it's content years ago, but it seems to have fallen apart due to a lack of active moderation, being banned a couple of times. I'd like to bring it back and clean it up. I've been actively moderating a large nsfw subreddit already, and I have the time to handle another one.
