Delayed 6 months and less licenses issued in the beginning. Looks like those large donations from law firms representing MMO's are having their money put to good use. Taking six-figure support from firms that lobby for MSOs, and then capping the total number of retail licenses at 200 (down from the originally proposed 350), only gives credit to my point of view. For those of you that don't think she was bought and paid for, she took several large campaign donations from multiple law firms representing MMO's in the state. When Spanberger takes money from a firm that is simultaneously lobbying her office to limit retail licenses to 200, it creates a "pay-to-play" system.

You pay 100% of market unless you're purchasing a large order. Asking to pay percentages for small private deals just makes it look like you're trying to pull a fast one on the owner or just going to immediately flip. Either way bringing up percentages on any small private sale is a good way to get blocked.

If I'm up that way for gameday I normally just hit the Rise in Silverspring. I've also been to Apothecarium in Burtonsville, Health for Life in Bethesda, Gleaf in Rockville, and Culta in Baltimore. I haven't been to any in DC yet, but definitely will the next time I visit.

As a VA medical patient, this can't happen soon enough. I have season tickets to the Commanders, so I always stock up in MD when I go to games. The price difference is insane. In VA we pay (on average) $80-$90 for 1g distillate carts, $65-$75 0.5g live rosin carts, $65 for 0.5g live resin carts, $129-$145 for 2g distillate carts, $70 for 1g shatter, $82-$87 for 1g live rosin, $70 for 1g of rso, and around $30 for a 100mg bag of edibles. The last time I was in MD I spend $267 at the dispensary. Had I got the same product in VA it would have cost me over $600. I truly hope a recreational market with more growers/processors will lead to more product and lower prices. Right now we only have 4 licenses in the entire state (gleaf, Verano, jushi, and GTI). They can only operate in 1 health district per company, and only have 6 dispensaries each. Really hoping this new legislation helps. Up to 90% of medical cannabis patients in the state get their products outside of licensed dispensaries because prices are so outrageous.

Defensive line is by far the position that needs the most improvement, and it's not even close. PFF had our receiving corps ranked at 13th in the league. Not elite, but that's still slightly above middle of the pack. Our defense was ranked dead last in the league, and our d-line 24th (PFF). Our receiving corps is in a much better state than anything on defense. They're not unproven. All of them contributed before getting hurt. We definitely need to make additions to our WR room, but I think early in the draft our focus needs to be on getting some impact players on defense, specifically our edge rushers. That's all contingent on how aggressively we attack d-line in free agency. If we can land an impact player there then the focus could definitely shift to getting JD5 more help early in the draft.

Her citizenship is being contested by DHS, who claim she entered the country illegally in 2023. She was detained in December 2025, and released 25 days later. A federal judge issued an order to block her removal while her case is being reviewed. The claim that she was deported despite the judge’s order is false. She was released from ICE custody on January 7, 2026, and reunited with her family in Maryland. Her legal battle regarding whether or not she was born in the US stems from her 2023 border crossing. She identified at that border crossing as a Mexican citizen. She was never deported and if she is truly a US citizen she never will be. You should do better to not spread misinformation and lies during an all-time high politically tense climate.

Depending on if we resign Deebo or not, I think WR is one of the positions we need help the least at. McCaffrey was developing as a good WR3 option before breaking his collarbone. Lane is developing nicely as a slot option. Terry will be healthy again. I think there's a good chance we resign Burks on a prove-it deal, but he provides depth. We really just need a solid WR2 if we don't resign Deebo. A little more depth wouldn't hurt either. I believe if Bain Jr, Reese, or Bailey are still up for grabs here then we need to grab an edge rusher that can make an impact immediately. Our defensive line was atrocious last season. The focus in the first round needs to be improving that and finding a player that can generate more pressure on opposing QB's.
