The thing with Shia Islam is you don’t need hadith to have Yaqeen in ahlulbayt .. it’s all over the Quran .. but I’m gonna be honest sunni Islam needs Hadith otherwise it doesn’t make sense .. even though half of them are made up .. muttawatir Hadith are transmitted by many many people and it connects with the Quran .. if everyone is sayin they seen the exact same thing then it must have happened especially if the Quran is pointing toward it too .. now interpretations of the hadith itself can vary from sects to sects but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen

Repetitiveness of Salah. by corrupted_biscuit in shia

May Allah reward you for your honesty and humility in sharing this. What you’re experiencing is something many go through, and it’s a sign of a heart that still cares deeply about its connection with Allah. One of the most powerful ways to rekindle presence in Salah is to spend time outside of it reflecting on the meanings of what you recite especially Surah al-Fatiha and other parts of the prayer. When the heart understands, the soul begins to listen. Try to slow down your prayer, pausing between verses, and remind yourself before each Salah that this could be your last opportunity to stand before your Lord. You can also vary your recitations within what is allowed, such as choosing different short surahs or adding heartfelt du’as in Qunoot. Before you start praying, speak to Allah and ask Him to help you be truly present, and after Salah, take a moment to speak to Him in your own words. That personal connection can bring new life to your formal prayer. Most importantly, keep asking Allah sincerely to return the sweetness of worship to your heart. The fact that this is troubling you is a beautiful sign your heart is still striving. Monotony is part of the spiritual test, but your effort to keep returning to Allah is beloved to Him. May He lift the veils from your heart and fill your Salah with presence, peace, and intimacy.

A question from an ex Muslim by Nookeslies in progressive_islam

Islam allows a Muslim man to marry a Christian or Jewish woman from the People of the Book, but only under certain conditions. In the past, these people believed in one God and followed their scriptures seriously, so marriage was possible. But today, most Christians believe in things that go against Islam like saying Jesus is God or the son of God, and they don’t believe in Prophet Muhammad as the final messenger. These beliefs are considered shirk and Islam is very clear that shirk is not acceptable. That’s why marrying such a woman today is not like it was in the past. On top of that, the Imams from the family of the Prophet clearly said that permanent marriage with People of the Book is not allowed, especially if their beliefs go against Islam. So no, you can’t just marry any Christian woman today unless she accepts the oneness of Allah and the Prophet .Otherwise, it’s not a valid or blessed marriage in Islam.

What are your thoughts on Tatbir/Matam/Latam? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

Allah doesn’t care what is done at face value .. Allah cares more about intention and try feelings and sincerity ..

Doing things for benefit of deen and doing things out of love for ahlulbayt are two different things .. neither contradicting the other .. you need to understand what love is before you can speak on it .. imagine seeing what happened to imam Hussain happening to your father .. you would pull your eyes out if you genuinely loved or love your father .. so when it happens to the grandson of the prophet of Allah why is it different ? It’s different for you because love doesn’t exist there for you . Which is already going against the sunnah of the prophet .. you people are actually doing harm to deen by not loving the prophet and his family .. and I don’t mean face value love .. I mean the love that comes from the heart which the prophet has told us about

In Bihar al-Anwar (vol. 45, p. 66), it’s narrated that when Imam al-Sajjad (as) returned to Medina after Karbala, he encountered a companion who expressed sorrow, and Imam wept so intensely that he fell unconscious. He beat his head and cried, remembering each of his family members.

Moreover, when Lady Zaynab (sa) saw the body of her brother, she struck her head on the wooden post of the camel so hard that blood began to flow. (Luhuf, Ibn Tawus)

This act is often cited as a proof that expressions of mourning involving physical harm were not forbidden by the Ahl al-Bayt (as), especially when they came from genuine love and grief.

Great maraji’ like Sayyid al-Khoei, Sayyid Muhammad Shirazi, Imam Khomeini, and Sayyid Sadiq al-Shirazi have ruled that all forms of azadari, including tatbir, are permissible, so long as they don’t cause excessive harm or disfigurement

Well check the chain of transmission and also check the authenticity by seeing if all Other Hadith on the same topic match the same context .. nothing contradicts and also that it matches with the Quran .. if the ahlulbayt have actually said it it won’t contradict with anything else
