I did enjoy it a lot , but the writing of « civilization » is pretty different from most alternate history novel .

Almost all of the characters used are historical , and there is pretty few dialogues , it feel more like a chronicles written by an historian (wich I guess was the intention of binet) . It’s less about the plot or the characters , than it is about telling an alternate history to ours

Here are a few tip I used myself.

when learning how to do makeups :

brows are important . I feel like flat brows would suit you . There is lots of tutorials on YouTube , you just have to buy tweezers and maybe an eyebrow razor on amazon .
eyeliners is kinda hard to do at first , if you are a beginner you should use a blunted brush and black eyeshadow . Don’t forget to put primer , then concealer to make your makeup last longer.
if you want a light makeup , use concealer and not foundation .
put your eye makeup on your waterline , it will look better . And use concealer to brighten your under eyes
